Not normally a big fan of Can but today he was on the money doing exactly what we needed i.e. protect the edge of the box & join in the press when available.
As i predicted in the OP i thought we would go for that MF 3 as it offers the most protection (Lala needs more game time before he can be considered) to the defence.

Great amazing match. Such a welcome win and 3 points.

City is a great team but those who have said they were the best team ever and invincible were just getting carried away as usual. Of course they'll win the title but again not necessarily their title for the next 3 years like many pundits have said.

They can be got at and our attack showed that they can concede goals even though they didn't play badly. No team have beaten them so far because most were trying not to concede themselves or forgot about attack or were not accurate enough.

Just like last season, we have better performances and results against the football playing teams and not as good against those who come and park the bus .
We still conceded 3 goals which is not a disgrace against a team of City's calibre. But we have to be grateful for our frontmen to take all their chances. If we were 3-1 in front we would have been in trouble and probably lost the match. Klopp has to address the GK and the defenders. If not this window , then the next. We won't get anywhere until we have a solid defence.

Can you imagine our attack in front of a solid defence? I can only dream and when that happens, the title will surely be ours ( and I am dead serious!)

I don't think we'll ever not concede....we just need to stop the stupid goals.

Anyway, no way City wins the CL with that defence.

Arsenal are 8 points behind Chelsea in 4th place.

Who's going to miss out?
I know this is stating the obvious but if city hadn’t run away with the league, just look at the table, how good would the title race have been looking :(
Would not write off Arsenal just yet
We will drop silly points - think 4th between us, arse and spurs
Chavs will come good, city and Utd nailed on
We need to win the matches we should be winning starting next mon night
Never do well on Mondays :(

tbh...

That last goal.

zero communication.

Robertson was touch tight at one point and backed off the guy without actually handing him onto the floppy lovren.

If they'd marked the man not space goal doesn't happen

same for gomez. ok ball is going over your head but it's in no way the end of the world. stand up and force the guy to go backwards but no panic and fall on your arse twice.

We need 9 wins in 15 games now.

a lot of work still to do but this win has been huge today. it's a real bonus to us.

Swansea will sit deep no question so we have to get those 3 points. they are as vital as beating city as the reward is just the same.
