If we do, are spurs though? They wouldn’t just have to overtake one team but two.

Although saying that, Chelsea look like manager has lost dressing room atm so who knows how they’d get on

They're losing Sanchez as well, they haven't got the quality to finish top 4 IMO.

I don't think they'll let him go unless they can replace him. Next season will be interesting when they lose Sanchez AND Ozil though. Could set then back years that

If Sanchez does not get his move in January he will sulk and disrupt the team anyway so might as well get rid and get some money in. Rumour has it his agent wants £10m from whichever club buys him in addition to the fee. I think it would be better if agents got their cut from the players percentage.

Yeah but even if they replace him where's the guarantee that the replacement will have a positive impact? Sanchez is probably one of the only world class attacking players in the PL. Which team is going to sell their best player in January to Arsenal?

    After today arsenal are done.

The league cup will be interesting but the Europa has got to be their focus now.

On the verge of losing their two star players, surely Arsene is nearly done too? Especially if they don't lift a trophy.

Losing those two for nothing (if Sanchez stays this window) will set them back years.

should do as they spent what 50mil on each at the time?

in the end it's the defence and really if they can get an easy Europa run back to cl they can benefit from it.

my issue for them is nobody in that organisation does anything but defer to Wenger so when he goes thry have to change the whole structure.

next coach in will have a huge job on their hands

I wouldn't write them off just yet. They have a habit of going on a good run towards the end of the season - they just don't like the winter.
Having said that, the odds are stacked against them.

Ian Wright just said the opposite to that on 5 Live, he reckons there is no way Wenger will sign another contract because he is used to doing things his way, now Arsenal have brought people in to take things out of his hands.

Agree it will be a massive job.

He inherited a better squad when they were flirting with the drop; Seaman, Dixon, Adams, Bould, Keown, Winterburn, Parlour and a young Dennis Bergkamp.

    What does Arsene leave behind?

I think Carragher just called it, Wenger bottled a big decision last summer.

tbh Wenger leaves a decent enough squad that a manager with a clue could get going... but he has babied the lot of them and the next man in wont have any leaders.

Should be against FIFA , EUFA , PL and everyother footballing assosciation rules if for no other reason it creates a conflict of interest for the agent.

Is Sanchez really going to join Utd? Who in their right mind would turn down City right now over Mourinho's Utd....

It really doesn't make any sense for him to join either of them, Jose prefers a target man and already has Martial and Rashford for wide left, Pep has Aguero and Jesus rotating and Sane for wide left.
My guess would be Chelsea if he stays in England, he wouldn't have to move house either.
