It's not novel to suggest that another relegation, followed by a clear-out, followed by starting from scratch with a clean sheet may be a good thing. I just hope we can afford to go that way because the first part, the relegation is looking likely!!!
I also remember him saying that if we had sold to the German consortium things would have gotten worse!!!!! REALLY, how could it have gotten any worse than our current situation….
That's why I'd love some transparency on this alleged consortium. Were they gonna buy the club and wipe the debt or just take the debt on. A cynical part of me thinks there was no consortium and it was just a made up story put out by Short as its a handy little card to play and excuse for not putting any money into the transfer kitty or appointing a decent manager in the summer
There is no denying that if we go down and its not looking good so far since New Year played 3 lost them all and not scored a goal dissent fill me with hope then if Division One beckons then surely Administration would follow and the Evo Stik Northern league is a teal possibility. Its every supporters nightmare.
I'd like to think that we're too well supported to disappear into obscurity. In a hypothetical worst case scenario where we plummet down the leagues at some point we'd have more income from gates than teams around us and we'd slowly but surely start to go back up. Not that I think it'll come to that.
Which Club? his gentleman's club? his investors club? Feker! It should have read ' I have the interests of SAFC at heart and and I am not going to do anything that is not good for the Club and the Fans'. Basically he doesn't give a sh*t; time to fek off Mr Short, you've shot your bolt and should hang your head in shame. The way you have steered this 'Club' is akin to the actions of the Captain of the Titanic.......full speed ahead, blindly and without taking any notice of reason, because you know best.........EXCEPT you Know nothing about football management, passion, honesty or pride. I see us going down again mate. Hate saying it but I don't derive any optimism from the club. But I see us bouncing back from League 1, only because of the whole set up around the club, some perspective buyer seeing the bigger picture, and the assets, and ultimately seeing us as a good investment. You look at the likes of Bournemouth, Burnley, Brighton, Watford, Crystal Palace, Huddersfield. Small clubs doing well, managed well. Arguably, we're bigger. Just not as well managed. We've got everything in place to progress to back to the PL. It's gonna take a wise investor, time and patience. But these are truly dark times for us at the minute.
