TBH in terms of league quality that's probably true.

It's a doddle playing in those leagues. Just have to turn up for three quarters of the games. It's only the CL where they get tested, and even then not often enough.

What a game!! Even at 4-1, I knew we would make it difficult for ourselves and we did. It all stemmed from taking Can off, and surely people can see his importance to this team. He bossed it today. Gini put in a great shift but he needs to work on his decision making.

Ox was fantastic as well and he’s really growing. Great goal.

Robbo was immense again, Gomez was brilliant bar the error however he has a habit of misjudging the flight of the ball. It’s costing us. Still young to develop. What impressed me is that he was almost flawless after his mistake - good mentality.

Matip and Lovren dealt with most things but once under pressure, they crumble.

The front 3 are what they are. Match winners. Firminos goal was the pick of the bunch and Salah made his look so easy.

Don’t wanna be overly critical tonight - was a good performance (for most parts) and even better result. Fearless.

Well done guys. Magnificent performance and a thoroughly entertaining game. Even though the result did Spurs no favours, it still put a smile on my face watching Fraudiola and his band of petrodollar plastics getting their expensive arses handed to them.

I did moan when Can went off. These games suit him, no way I'd have raheem him off. Nor would I have taken Wijnaldum or Oxlade off either though. One of them had to go ...

This is the problem - we had James Milner come on in his place and was at fault for their second goal. Went into the challenge, loses it which creates the space behind him.

Hopefully Klopp brings in a Goretzka type player who can help defend.

It was Fowleresque; out muscling Gary Neville before lobbing Schmeichel.

Made only better by Gary Neville having to pass comment on the defending by Stones <laugh>

Can was apparently ill hence he came off so fair enough. Played very well though but he’s clearly going. As long as continues like that until summer then fair enough can’t ask any more.

I was criticsl of gini but he defended very well. Just did nothing when on the ball going forward.

Didnt think Matip did anything wrong even when we conceded at the end. Lovren made 1 mistake, well it was a **** attempt at jumping to head the ball, feet barely left the ground. Other than that was brilliant against Aguero, atgubely one of his best performances for ya but he always has that mistake in him.

Good point about Gomez, was brilliant 2nd half and was unlucky for the 2nd goal got good block in but just found its way to silva.

The type and stage of this game wasn't right for Milner. We didn't need to dive in, we needed to contain.

wrong sort of forum for that sort of stuff :emoticon-0130-devil

seriously don't know & don't care as imo most selections have little to do with overall performances.

I just said to Raheem Sterling You must be full of energy still. He said Why? I said Because you spent the whole match in Andrew Robertson's pocket. - Boring James Milner.
