Yep, we’ve also got a big squad and Wenger has spoken about trimming it down. Walcott has been a passenger for 3-4 seasons now and it’s time we cut him loose. Coquelin was never really of the required standard so I’m pleased he’s gone too. I’d much rather see us cut out the deadwood and sell 6-7 players if we just replace them with 1-2 top quality players.
Rumours are scant at the moment, but letting SAn It's been a problem for quite some time now. We've got plenty of "good" players but not enough "very good" ones. We would be better off having 3 than 6, making up the numbers
Why not? I hate how soft/uncompetitive we have become. Why are we willing to let one of the best players in the League go to a rival? Sanchez going to City/United/Chelsea doesn't just weaken us it strengthens a rival. Managers like Ferguson, Mourinho would never let that happen. We need to be aggressive in negotiations.
I totally agree with you. I don't think we should even be considering selling him to a rival at all. Especially given our history of selling our best players to City and Utd. But this is the mess the club have allowed to happen by letting Sanchez run his contract down and now we have basically **** all to negotiate with. He either goes to City or Utd now and we get £25m or he goes in the summer and we keep a disgruntled player and get nothing for him The whole situation ****s me off no end. The only small silver lining to this cloud is that the people (Dick Law) and his team who allowed this situation to arise are no longer at the club.
Have you seen the team sheet for today - this is what Wenger has let Arsenal become, mediocre ****e. Wenger will have to leave before this squad improves as Ozil and Sanchez are clearly leaving - and I wouldn’t bet on Ramsey renewing his contract in 18 months either. The only players that we will be left with are rejects from our rivals (whilst they have our best players) and ****e like Elnenny and Debouchy who we can’t sell as no one wants them. This is going to be a long 2 years till Wenger leaves and is replaced by Eddie ****ing Howe
I can't believe that Manure would be in the picture, especially the bad blood between Wenger and Maureen. I would lose respect for Wenger if he sold to Maureen especially when he would never sell his players to us, especially his best player! How far have we fallen when we sell our best player to a rival, especially when we have money!
Anyone seen much of this Malcolm kid? 20 years old - looks to have exceptional technical quality. Dont watch the French leagues and have only watched about an hours worth of footage on Youtube - In may ways I think he could be a more exciting talent than Lemar. Quite similar actually but Lemar is more of a wide playmaker while Malcolm is more direct and aggressive. (potentially at least)
"He's being vague at the moment. The situation is not completely decided one way or the other, so I left him at home," said boss Arsene Wenger. Asked if a decision was imminent, Wenger said: "Yes. Don't read too much in it because even I don't know which way it will go." Sanchez can simply **** off now. The least he can do is work with Wenger to get this **** sorted out as quickly as possible.
Got ourselves to blame for not offloading him for good money in the summer. He was kicking up a fuss then but we kept him. We shot ourselves in the foot and now faced with losing our best player in Jan with no potential replacement. Losing him to Maureen will make it all the more humiliating.
Massive rumors all over twitter that we are very close to getting aubameyang. Gillaume Ballague claims it's very close. He was dropped today from Dortmunds squad. Seems a bit of a panic / appeasement Buy... Good player though.
Would be a fantastic signing. He's the same age as Sanchez and can make a similar impact on us that he made when he came in. Has bags of experience and loads of goals in him. Could well save us from a disastrous league season.
I have to question the desires of any top player currently wanting to join us. But whatever, if he wants to join so be it. As mentioned many times before by many posters, new personnel will make **** all difference while Wenger is still manager. Buying him will make no difference to what we can achieve this season. It will just mean one more player already prechosen for the next manager with slightly less funds to spend on who the new manager would actually have wanted.
Wow you are truly pessimistic. The way I see it the signing of Sven Minislat and a new Director of Football shows intent from the Club. Any new signings just need to be convinced Arsenal are planning big signings and a management shakeup. We're a huge Club with great facilities in a fantastic City.
Soo hypothetically. Sanchez and Walcott out. Aubamayang and Malcolm in. That would be good ****ing business. Wont believe it until I see it though.
The major rumoured ins are: Malcolm Aubameyang Mkhitaryan IF we actually get all three of those players...that might actually be an improvement on our attack. It's a shame defensively we are still shocking. Curious: would you guys boo Sanchez when he inevitably plays against us? Despite going to a rival, I actually don't think I would boo him. As a club we got ourselves in this position and it's not like Sanchez didn't try during his time with us. Unlike the RVP transfer, Sanchez has put the time and effort in IMO...
