I have been saying this for some time. Why the hell some people can't wait until the day we sell him, is beyond me. When he does go,it will be then and only then those people will see what a top class player he is.

He's putting himself in the shop window, hence the improved performances. Call me cynical if you wish. As I've said many times before - great talent but too often lacks application.

Are you getting a pair of those rose tinted ones, Jamba?

Not saying he is Messi, but the most skillful player to play for LCFC. Fact!

He has been brilliant all season

If he plays well he is putting himself in the shop window and if he plays bad he has downed tools

    He cant win

FACT! It's all about opinions and when they were in there prime i would sooner have Frank Worthington. Keith Weller or David Gibson before Mahrez!

But of them 4 names only 1 of them played a huge part in winning the Premier League for us

Yes it is about opinions. I did see Worthington and Weller play for us, not many times though, but I didn't see Gibson play.

The game is obviously different nowadays, but for me, the former player of the year and Premiership winner Mahrez is who I don't mind paying good money to see.

The thing is Worthington, Weller and Gibson performed on mud and sand, not on a carpet!

So going on your logic because Kasper Schmeichel played a huge part in winning the Premier league, he is a better goalkeeper than Gordon Banks ever was?

Kante for me - I’ve never seen someone boss a midfield quite like he did.

I don’t think Chelsea use him to his best as he doesn’t drive forward for them - not only did he win everything for us but he also drove it forward at pace on the counter too

I saw all of them although Gibson was past his best at the time ... for me Mahrez is the most skillfull followed by Frankie ... but they were different times ...

What is without question is that Mahrez is the best footballer we have seen in 40 years ...

As for the cynics ... missing one point ... just about every player currently playing is 'putting it in' for the next big move ... Coutinho is the latest ... there are only a few, very elite clubs, that are the ultimate destination for the modern footballer.. got no problem with Mahrez ... he's done us proud ... one poor season ... that can be said for just about every player we have <cheers>

Frank was pure class and a showman, that is what the game is lacking today, showmen.
I grew up in an age where there was not only entertainment but fun in football, today it's too clinical for me with little room for expression. Fergie once bollocked Nani for "Showboating" against Arsenal (he was never the same player after that), **** that, if you are good enough to do it then entertain the fans, it's what they pay for.

Garth Crooks is an odd on. In the write up for Christiansen he spends most of it going off on one about Mahrez. He’s probably right but shouldn’t it focus on the player it’s being written about? Likewise below about Maguire, he starts be recognising rightly so Maguire’s excellent performance, I like the description of Morata in one pocket and Hazard the other. Then he goes off about Conte and Mourinho. Strange man

Works for me, each stunning performance is either getting us more points or a bigger transfer fee <ok>

I don't want to see him go, but i'd agree with Savage on 606 that hes worth £75m in the current climate

Its not just about there ability. Its about what they achieved for our club. So yes Kasper will go down as OUR best ever keeper

Does that make him better then Banks? No of course not
