Their keeper is put under some pressure and looks as shaky as Mig and Karius combined. He was out of position for the goal and just flapped at 2 crosses. Not a word said. They’re instea sjiat banging on about how composed he is when he makes 5 yard boxes to the CBS next to him inside the box under no pressure

Great game of football. Unlucky to be 1-1 but yet again, individual errors cost us. What has annoyed me is that Karius should be saving that but Neville spent around 5 mins talking about him after the goal. He hardly mentioned Gomez which was the bigger error. No doubt the sky panel will now take about Karius during HT.
The thing is that the 75million signing of Van Dijk wouldn't have stopped that goal either. It's not just buy a leader as CB to solve the problems when the fullback isn't even a fullback and the man in the sticks is hopeless.
It is so frustrating that when our attack has the better of their defence we are let down yet again by some **** defending. Spend all the Coutinho money on a good GK and good defenders.

Gomez should have just let Sane bring the ball down and moved to position himself between Sane and the goal. There would then have been two players, allowing for Matip to move across, between Sane and the goal. Having said that if Karius had moved 1ft sideways he would have blocked it with his body.
Can and Ox playing really well. Gini doing well defensively but he’s so cowardly on the ball. Frustrating
