CBA to read through the thread to see if it's already been mentioned. But Farage is a spent force, and he was a one trick pony. So naturally he wants a bit of the limelight again and a second referendum is the way to get it. I don't think he really gives a **** either way to be honest, just as long as he gets on the TV for a while.
Well, around that area, but no one can say for sure whether he was Armenian, Georgian, Greek, Turkish or from somewhere else. Whatever, we do know that it wasn't close to Britain.
Usual not 606 fayre here with Stan calling his stalkees 'stupid ****s' because they don't agree with him. Dont you think there is an element of bullshit around the myth that is St George?
I always find it strange when people want to rip the reason out of the purpose of the St George flag, it's our National Flag so why disrespect it? I might not like the EU flag, but i don't go looking for it's origins to take the piss, in the same way i don't look at a German flag and say two world wars. All said and done it is a national emblem and IF you are English why disrespect it.
Indeed, it seems a few on here have an vision of utopia which inclusion of a federalist super power is very much a part of it. Anybody who has a differing view is ridiculed for not sharing that vision, flag et al.
I do find it odd. Whether someone is Scottish, Irish, Welsh or even German, Italian or Spanish, I don't go looking for reasons to ridicule their flag. People question the purpose of St George, so ****ing what it is still my national flag, a lot of people support Barcelona and if they bothered to look or were to delve into the origin of their emblem it also contains the St George alongside the Catalan. I remember when Merkel tore her national flag from someone, I thought it was so disrespectful, even though it was German!
So you cannot see the irony of brain dead nationalists showing their patriotism through a semetic warrior?
I can see the irony of some brain dead people denigrating and being critical of a symbol of the nation they choose to remain in, and others go to great lengths to come to, because an accident of birth left them born in what must be a lesser place. They're often the same brain dead types that wonder what happened to civic pride. Like the Queen, it's not the individual, but the institution they represent. Only racists and the ignorant would believe the 'nationality' of those in symbolic posts was that much of an issue. I'm guessing, based on your spelling, you don't really know what Semitic means either.
Its my understanding that the st George flag is something we got off the portuguese navy so we wouldn't get robbed True story Apparently
