We did not deserve the win. We were outplayed the whole of the second half. Pellegrino is a fraud. He can't manage a football match to save his life. He's a joke.
Nah Pellegrino is a tactical genius and has been saving the good form for this last stretch. Everyone will think we're Sh*te but then we'll announce Bale and some new young guns over the Transfer window and take 21 from a possible 20 points. VVD will reveal himself to be a double-agent, scoring 2 own-goals and revealing a Southampton Jersey before being personally dragged off the field by Klopp.
I hardly heard Tadic and JWP's names once in the second half. And yet I don't blame either of them for that in the slightest. Just look at our first half performance. There is only one person to blame for them disappearing.
If Pellegrino is so intent on sitting back and defending after going up, at least execute the plan properly. Puel, Allardyce etc at least know how to drill a team and come away with results when winning by 1 goal, especially 2.
Anyone that thind that is an acceptable point is deluded. In the position we are in, anything other than a win is absolutely horrendous.
Ok, so now imagine that the two halves were exactly as was but in a different order. And the officials robbed us. Perspective please. Oh no, it’s too soon for that!
It's 100% the case, no question. And we've seen it enough times now to (sadly) be confident that it won't change. Hence he has to go. Tonight.
That's probably a bit strong... From what I can read people are mainly disappointed with the capitulation yet again. No one before the game would have called a draw 'horrendous' have a word mush ffs
No, you can't point that out. That's telling the whole story, and doesn't suit those that just want to focus on us being robbed, rather than having a manager who is out of his depth.
Steven Davis' instinct to turn back first rather than look forward and get himself into trouble that led to their first goal was indicative of the team's mindset in the second half. He simply would not have done that in the first half IMO.
I had a nightmare the other day that Southampton came bottom of the table but we somehow won the FA cup. The Board then used that as an excuse to extend Pellegrinos contract by 4 years. Now fearing that was a vision and not a dream
