Well I have just heard that my brothers wife has just gone into labour for his first child so yes I guess you could say that... ;-)
But winning is only half as much fun when you support two teams. (as opposed to being a shock when you support Newcastle)
Right, where is that Toon Top with "Rafa I love you on" for the baby... Boy or Girl that thing is going to have a lifetime of underachievement just like I have!
Yeah, but Lee Charnley still hasn't found a Travelex to convert him from Euros. To be fair he did try and Google it, but ended up at a Travel Lodge on the A34. That's why he hasn't been seen for months - can't find his way back.
Just a bunch of born losers. I don't know what their problem is. The goal doesn't change size, nor does the ball - Gayle had two free headers and one clear chance, couldn't have done worse if he was drunk. At times I don't know if Benitez is watching the same match. The don't-sub-til-the-60th minute obsession is borderline dementia. Gayle doesn't play well at the best of times - but he's a straight 1/10 today, and he only gets the 1 for putting his boots on. Yet he stays, and stays, and stays. Comes out for the 2nd half, does not a fcking thing - quelle surprise. Then he gets hooked. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY???????????? Why not half time???????? It means we're always behind on subs influencing the game. Diame wasn't that bad to be fair, and Shelvey created the goal. We were pretty dominant in central mid. But it was just chance after chance, shot after shot, final ball after final ball that kept being wrong. We've really fcked up today. My only glimmer of hope is that failing to win this will force the hand of the ****ing ****s at the top and they bring in a player or two - preferably not some no-mark like Kenedy either. I think the only positive is there's probably three worse teams than us in this league, and we are better away from home (thanks for that too, Rafa). We just do not have the players to control a game and attack decisively. The movement from Gayle and Ritchie in particular is shambolic, the pair of them break up more moves than the opposition defence does.
Darlow Flaps has replaced Arsenal Nil as the new cojoined phrase. Nearly cost us a point, certainly cost us 3.
You did say earlier... You don't think Rafa would say "gan miss Al those chances lad's"... I know the frustration but any quality up front and we are out of sight... On the other hand its all ****in **** and I'm sick of it.
The table is tight as **** and I'm afraid it will go to the wire... We are not down and out yet..... Most teams in this bottom half of the league are terrified of losing so it makes for utter ****e games... Hence today.. BTW look at Brighton now dropping like a stone you Need quality in this league and it costs money big money us and a few others have neither.
Yeah, it's just anger borne out of frustration. Apart from the subs - as usual - Rafa got everything right again. It's just you've got Gayle missing a hat-trick, then Dummett, then Perez, then you've got Ritchie's useless delivery, Shelvey's abysmal free kick - I mean we have enough chances there where, if we had Man City's players, it's 8-0. Then Darlow just produces the most worthless piece of "goalkeeping" and it's 0-1. I really don't envy Rafa, what the hell do you do? It's an impossible situation he's been dealt with. Honest to God if we had one Premier League class centre forward, we'd be top 10. That's how **** the league is, and how vital that role is. You can see the body language of the players drop and drop and drop as they realise it doesn't matter what they give Gayle, he's gonna **** up. Then they know the alternative will be Joselu. You can really feel that they get really downhearted. We've got too many passengers. Most of them players Rafa has bought. He needs to take a good long hard look at himself and his "scouting". But with just that **** Charnley above him, what hope we can ship out 6 or 7 and bring in the 4 or so quality players we need. I'd gladly throw Gayle and Ritchie out with the rest of those about to leave. Maybe that's what Rafa needs to think about - teams will buy Ritchie and Gayle, so why not ship those useless ****ers out and see what you can get instead.
Swansea are in trouble. I think they'll be joined by Brighton and Hudds, both these two are ****ter than **** and the likes of Pritchard are clearly Champ quality. We'll end up around 15th by virtue of Bournemouth and West Brom being worse.
I'm not as confident as you - at least not without some sort of quality signings this month. We're running out of relegation rivals to play and beat. We've collected 16 points from our games against West Ham, Stoke and Swansea. That means we've collected 7 points from 51 against everyone else.
Just back from the match. We should have had the game sewn up by half time. Instead, Swansea bossed most of the second half and could have won it right at the death. Missed chances cost us again.
