An interesting twist.
The most likely reason the UK would seek to rejoin is if the economy tanked post brexit. If this happened then our payments to the EU would be lower due to having a smaller economy.

The downside of that is those payments would be a larger proportion of our relatively shrunken gdp.

 

Would those be the same strings that every EU country signs up to?

Why should we expect favouritism and different terms?

 

Governments can do just as much damage in 5 years, and nothing is permanent if the democratic public don't want it to be. What obstacles are put in place by dictating federation of the EU is another matter! Although it appears what does not get spoken about is the financial black hole we will leave behind when leaving, so me thinks they would welcome us back with open arms or as the saying goes....cut your nose off to spite your face.

We did. Only problem for the person who called it was it didn’t go as she planned. The only certainty with a second referendum is that the numbers will not be the same.

 

Surely the democratic approach is for people to judge whether the Govt delivered on negotiating a Leave deal. I'm happy to leave that to Parliament.
