Assuming Duchatelet hasn’t sold the rest of the team by tomorrow, we have sold 231 tickets to travelling fans Will Konsa and Holmes be risked ?
Bury are 11 points adrift of safety, 23 points below Charlton. If we don't win this game it will be an absolute disgrace.
Can't see us getting anything from this one. It's an ideal game for Bury to break their losing sequence. 2-1 Bury (Magennis for us)
With Holmes gone tonight, I can’t imagine our 3 remaining fit players feeling too motivated tomorrow ?
I hope they all acknowledge the 231 travelling Charlton supporters after the game. It wouldn't hurt Karl Robinson to face them either - especially if the result is not what it should be.
Good odds for this game..@ BillyHills Bury 6/4 Charlton 9/5 Draw 9/4 So the bookies think neither team is going to pick up any points here.... Charlton to win 1-0 with Joe Aribo to score goal .... £10 wins £800
That’s assuming that Aribo hasn’t been sold by 3pm. Before selling Standard Liege, Duchatelet embarked on a sustained period of asset stripping to claw some of his cash back. Leopards don’t change their spots and we can brace ourself for Konsa to follow Holmes out the door, along with any other player we get a bid for.
Remember that when he sold SL, Roland personally kept the 'sell on' fee for SL's best player who was sold just prior to Roland selling SL.... what are the odds that if there is a clause in Holmes's sale that Charlton get a payment if Sheff Utd get to Prem League (in next two seasons) then that money would go direct to the Douche.
Time for Jacko to do a Roy-of-the-Rovers one more time, and rally the troops. Come on Jacko, a club's hopes rest with you.
Chucked the draw in an accy. I actually have a feeling we might pick up 3 points in a back to the wall performance, but not confident with putting money on it.
These are the teams according to the BBC... EDIT: (Sunday morning) The BBC got this wrong apparently. As I understand it Ricky Holmes did not play, Reeves took his place.
You'd have to think he's on his toes. Tbh who can blame any of our boys wanting to up sticks. Even when we get sold who is to know what the future holds. Sad and worrying times.
