I was at the game and no sunderland fns were booing elmo, it was the brighton fans because he was injured (milking it).

and they have every right to be pissed off when he does not start with a bloody striker

This. Brighton fans booed him cause he was tackled and went down a bit easy.

I think people want to take a few deep breaths here...Anyone who thought that Brighton away was going to be a walk in the park was deluding themselves...Yes I was very surprised and disappointed at his team selection, but this gross over-reaction on here is in my opinion disproportionate in the extreme...Anyone looking in from the outside will probably think that this is crazy...Didn't we just finish in our 3rd highest league placing in living memory last season? havn't we just got an influx of new players who are still getting used to one another...Yes, I'm disappointed, but this crazy 'blood frenzy' is in my opinion way over the top...

Durham is a ****er and trying to prove himself right - The fan's on Saturday were booing at the performance (and some at the manager to be fair) not at the individual player. We are quite tolerant when it comes to new starters and I think we were disappointed that our most productive winger of the game (as Sessegnon was playing behind the front man) was taken off for a target man so we removed the threat from crosses.

I thought we bossed the first half on Saturday and the second half was even - it's only the result that pissed us off but his tactics last night wer a joke - he treat it like a friendly game (I think) rather than a competative game so he could test out a new formation (then blame the players when it didn't work).

Adrian Durham seems to have a chip on his shoulder about Sunderland and our fans - he stated that Wickham could not have made a worse move as the fans would be on his back straight away (I posted a thread to this effect too) and we are all behind Connor Wickham and would not boo the lad

No, can't see anything in that sentence that warrents your conclusion..However, by the 'way over the top reaction' to what has been nothing more than a bad week, and knowing what many of our fans attitudes are like, I can see our fans getting on the teams back...

That is absolute bollocks mate, and never happened.

Anything Durham says against us, is to be taken with a massive bag of salt, not a ****ing pinch.

Couldn't agree more FFS. Talk about knee jerk. If we all have the interests of this club at heart, it is in our interest and theirs to stick with the team and the manager when the going gets a bit rocky. Didn't see too many criticising the new signings pre-season or the movements in the squad more generally. Now one ****e result and one disappointing one and the end of the world is night - unbelievable. Continuity is what brings success in football not knee jerk reactions and playing to the gallery.

And as for conspiracy theories - embarrassing.

Disappointing. . . this club was built on the spirit of it's supporters - time to stand up and be counted.

yes but we can still debate the ins and outs of it and voice a negative or even a worried opinion. When i go to the game i never boo anyone sometimes you can't help an impromptue groan mind. Sunderland fans do seem to need a fall guy to blame, it's neck and neck between richardson, catts and Elmo. People are not angry at last nights result more the team selection followed by Bruce blaming everyone bar himself.

When we signed Wickam the clueless w****r Durham said he had signed for the wrong club. He said that Sunderland fans booed their own players and the first chance they get they would do it to Wickham. He's trying to prove a point to himself. F*****G Knob. Rarely listen to the tw*t but he says one thing and changes it round by the minute to suit himself. Don't know him from Adam but he is the biggest cu*t on the radio. By the way, of course they wern't booing Wicham.
