The harm is that if every single time we get a new (tenuously reliable) transfer update a new thread is created, then actual threads of interest to people will be hidden amongst all the bullshit and it'll become just like 606 was. If every single time "Ooh the media (never wrong) says this transfer is getting closer!!" was said, a thread would made, then we'd have no room for anything else. Thank God we only have a week left of the transfer window. 13 year olds trying to be witty, deary me.
Really? And if so, congratulations for teaching the youth of today a fine lesson in how to talk to people with your gleaming example.
Why are people going for each other's throats a lot on here recently? We're all Saints fans at the end of the day, we're a collective just like Adkins says - let's keep it that way guys
It is irritating that these people don't want to be moderating the forum but just want to chuck their weight around screaming at people for "doing things wrong". Seriously? Chill out.
I think it stems from when people make a thread and get abused for it or get a sarcastic answer, just no need for it,if the thread don't interest someone then they should not comment instead of just trying to be a smart arse.
Erm... How is it not an explanation? We might as well delete the rumour mill thread because if we're having **** like this posted then it's a waste of time. We have a thread for each player we have a rumour on anyway, do we really need for each rumour, a rumour mill thread, an original thread on the player then further threads for each update on the rumour?
Looks like he wants to join us. "Significantly, City's decision to accept an offer for one of their most experienced players was influenced by Fontaine expressing a desire to talk to newly-promoted Southampton."
Yeh what you're saying is true in a way but does it really upset you that much? i got a lot more to worry about in my life than someone making an extra thread about something.
Yeh seems that way,i just love it when people are gutted to be losing their players when we sign them, then you know you got a good player.
for Fontaine to play nearly 200 games in the Championship is something, they must trust him at Bristol City and £1million for a very proven Championship centre-half isn't that much to pay. Also, he is only 25, so he has time to improve with Saints and him and Fonte form a great partnership together. Think it would be a good signing IMO.
Of course not - as it happens there are more important things in my life, and I'd imagine the lives of 13 year old wannabe journalists, than pointless threads on an internet forum. That doesn't stop it being annoying, though.
Your a sad man, go and do something productive than moan on this thread... This thread will still be here tomorrow and people will continue to make comments!!
Personally will be majorly piss** of if fonts leave. He has been a reliable defender for us nothing spectacular but trustworthy and reliable. He will never be the next John Terry but he has pace passion and rarely makes mistakes, i just dont understand why we'd be selling one of our better players especially when our defence is a tad iffy at the best of times. If he signs for you today make him welcome he will prove a good signing for you, and Liam if you read any of this good luck and thankyou!!
Typical Saints fans, shooting down a player before he's even signed let alone played a game for us. Btw im referring more to the comments on the Daily Echo site - Hardly surprising coming from there though.
