Clearly I'm disappointed now, so pretty happy to wait and see what transpires... tide appears to be turning, and people are starting to ask questions rather than blindly accept the promises of politicians of all colours which is a huge positive for me. Oddly, the question about changing your mind is something that I have considered many times... but nearly a year since Article 50 was invoked we're still yet to see any substance in what Brexit will actually mean so it's hard to see what I could change my mind for - certainly I'm not going to be coerced into supporting what I feel was a deeply compromised vote when so much of it has been exposed after the fact as 'mistakes' or aspirations rather that actual policy. Additionally the shambolic management of the Brexit department, and the embarrassingly inept performances of the Government's major players (impact assessments anyone? https://fullfact.org/europe/brexit-impact-assessments/ ) really don't inspire confidence that we will come out with anything remotely positive. The level of understanding of the basics of the leaving process and the legislative and social impacts appear inadequate, and as mentioned above, any actual detail is non-existent. Until then I'll keep my powder dry and prefer the status quo of the devil I know - I guess I just prefer to make decisions on facts rather than fantasy.

Does it matter. One analyst will say one thing and another will say different. Take Bank of England forecast about Brexit....It was wrong. However I agree with what you said in your post We should have been a lot stronger, however, their work has been hindered by certain quarters hell-bent on stopping the process and reporting negative news at every opportunity.
I think you are right, I can’t see the point of referenda in a representative democracy like ours. Honestly. MPs are elected to make the decisions, it’s bottling it when governments call a referendum. We never get one on going to war, I notice.
I did a daily Precious Metals report for the Bank I worked for which was given to Reuters. I would ask anyone in the office what to say when I couldn't think of anything once giving the classic answer to the question of why the market was going up "Because there were more buyers than sellers" which Reuters published.
