Apparently (according to the bbc) Allardyce is keen to get him in due to his “pace and experience” and would be a fantastic addition. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42660224 Not sure how much, but I couldn’t agree more with Sam so if Walcott really is available and Mr Wenger does want rid surely we need to get in on the act before Everton do snap him up? I’m sure we could even negotiate a loan with an option to buy or even a force buy after a certain amount of games or goals to appease MA and his constant need to always pay less for whatever he needs regardless of quality!
I think he'd certainly play more games for us than he would Everton. Can any of us see this happening though?
Yeah, we’ll be in there like a shot I imagine. With Ashley’s money and Charnley’s skill we’ll have no trouble securing Walcott. Dude, do you live under a rock?????
Go check his wages. We won't pay that for 3 players, never mind just the 1. People need to get the concept of Walcott, Giroud and Batshuayi out there minds. Aside from the fact none of them will want to come, we would never pay what they're on.
100% this. Even if we ship out Ginge, Haidara and anyone else, we'll still be scraping around for players like Kenedy. Many of us turn our nose up at Ings - rightly so IMO - but that's what we'll end up with. If someone like Sturridge signs I'd show my ass in Debenhams window (Fenwicks is taken, I think).
The fact it's all gone quiet on the Striker front makes me worried we're going to go all window without signing one. Depressing times if the loan of Ings is only being held up by the lack of movement with Johnny Mitro, but thats is sadly where we're at by the look of it.
Lolz, even though he might not play every game for Arsenal, the ****ing thought of him trading in top 4 finishes and European football, to play alongside Joselu and Perez!!! He must dream of getting on the end of Shelvey's passes and Diame's through balls.... FFS. Everton would actually be a good fit for him though.
We are the laughing stock of premiership football. With the worst setup ever seen in the premiership. With no scouting network. No directors. An academy that produces no players. An owner who clearly does not care for the club and a ceo who is basically a glorified pa. Why would any players who are even half decent even contemplate coming up north.
Mitrovic is on an apparent £65k wages Colback is on somewhere around the £20k mark so we aren’t a million off his wages, if, as has been reported they are shipped out this month. Not only that but I’m of the hope that Walcott actually wants to play football and may move a bit on wages. Plus with talks of a takeover and things maybe on the up and the size of the club there must be a draw for a Walcott type person (someone not getting game time and being at that stage of their career where they really need to be playing). I know all this would mean Ashley and charney actually doing some proper work and actually sorting out a deal in a transfer window but MA really is at risk of the club falling behind and as soon as that happens the value of the clubs drops too so he can’t just sit around when a deal is so close (well at least I hope)
Rafa will welcome Mitro back with open arms and it will be like a new signing If we really do sign nobody we're ****ed. We will go down and Rafa will jog on. Rinse and repeat. Anybody sitting on the fence in terms of their opinions of Ashley will quite literally fall off said fence and immediately land in the "You Fat Cockney Bastard, Get out of our club" side of the camp. When I look at the worst case scenario, anything contrary to what I've put above is a bonus and i'm instantly happier
Call me Judas but I'm at the point now where if Ashley is there on the first match of next season, I'm out. At least until he's gone. I'll just isolate myself away from all the Newsnow's, the Not606, the matches, etc., I just don't think I can do it anymore, it's eating too much into life and it's all ****ing negative. There's never, ever anything positive related to Ashley's Newcastle and I just don't want to do it anymore. I love the club and it will of course survive past his ownership, plus I really don't care if we're in the PL or Unibond, but he's killed everything. Without hope, football is pointless. It's bad enough Rafa has to play the way we do because of the crap players, but it's worse knowing that's all we'll ever get. Under Ashley, failure is inevitable. The guy's nothing more than a chancer who got one break, so **** him and **** his money.
**** him and feed him fish heads I say. If this takeover doesn't go through I dread to think how bad things will get and where we will be before he eventually ****s off!
Meh, since 2008 people have been saying if Ashley doesn't **** off soon then I don't want anything to do with the club anymore, but he never goes anywhere, and we just grimly trudge on supporting. Supporting Newcastle is a life sentence unfortunately, you don't get out.
