Ryan kent to bristol city on loan Liverpool were inundated with offers from Championship clubs and Klopp has decided that Bristol City is the perfect place for him. There was also interest from the likes of Derby, Leeds, Middlesbrough and Barnsley. (James Pearce) Crucially, manager Lee Johnson has vowed to give Kent regular action and there will be financial penalties if he doesn't feature in a set number of matches. (James Pearce)
Ings isn’t good enough. Solanke has potential but again, I don’t think he’s all that. Origi is better than Solanke so I rather him however, he was awful for us when he came back from injury. Sturridge (to avoid any confusion!!) - love the guy but he’s on big wages, injury prone and can’t lead the line by himself. It’s a shame but we have to move him on. I wouldn’t be surprised if Klopp brings in a top class starting striker and moves Firmino into a deeper position, as opposed to keeping bobby as CF and buying an understudy.
Agreed on all. solanke looks to me to be a decent player but he's looking for ages on the ball in the box so i'm not sure he's ever going to be prolific. he's need a big step change there. I think you are right on a striker. it depends on klopps next move He needs 2 no 9s and 4 wide forwards to play this formation. If he pushes firmino deeper we will have to see how he sets up. I'm sure firmino could do it,.
Origi initially struggled after the injury but when he gets going he can score goals which Solanke doesn't. He scored 10 in his first season and 11 second season. For a third choice those are not bad numbers. That said, if Klopp was to find a striker it has to be an upgrade on Firmino which would mean we have one hell of player
We're half way through January on Monday. The window will start hitting up for the following 10 days with key players deciding their futures and clubs moving onto their plan B's. Arsenal for example: Don't resign Sanchez then priority #1 is Lemar, if not Lemar then Mahrez, if not Mahrez then....f#ck knows. I believe that we need to strengthen in the creative midfield role but I think our #1 priority is to get Keita early, if not then Lemar, if not then Who the hell knows...
‘Internally it’s clear’ – Club have decided to sell player to Liverpool this month, on condition Klopp pays up Regardless of what is being said elsewhere in the media, and regardless of what RB Leipzig are saying publicly, Bild state Naby Keita can move to Liverpool this month for the right price. In Germany it’s reported Keita is moving to Liverpool in the summer for €75m, higher than some English figures, and Bild state for €20m more he can go in January. The German newspaper say ‘internally it’s clear’ at RB Leipzig that Keita can go if Jurgen Klopp gets Liverpool to stump up €95m in total. Bild explain that despite putting on a public show of strength over Keita ‘the internal truth looks very different’. Throughout their article, Bild reiterate that Keita can go for an extra €20m, with one line saying: ‘BILD knows: If the English offer €20m more, in total €95m, Leipzig agrees to a change!’
We should have started a thread with who we've been linked to and the source. Give them an accuracy rating. Trump is right, it's all FAKE NEWS
Liverpool are interested in a January move for Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman who is available for around £27million, according to Leggo. The Rome-based newspaper report that the club’s hierarchy are willing to sell the 27-year-old this month in order to fund a move for Sampdoria’s Lucas Torreira, and Liverpool are ready to pounce for the midfield general. https://thisisfutbol.com/2018/01/blogs/premier-league/liverpool-in-for-strootman/
'Midfield General' - Really? To be honest, I've heard his name around for years but never took much notice of him.
He got lots and lots of money which fulfilled his needs at the time, as a famous rich former footballer living the high life he probably laughs when people mention "death threats", "slipping" etc whilst quaffing expensive champagne and eating caviar. There you go, a proper bite.
