Waiting Patiently runs in the listed chase at Kempton with Gods Own, Smad Place, Josses Hill, Ballybolley and Art Mauresque in opposition.

Hills and Paddy Power have priced up the race and make Waiting Patiently the 7/4 Fav. Although I find the price a little on the skinny side I am looking forward to him finally strutting his stuff on a bigger stage.

Edit: Sporting Life website (I assume Skybet prices) showing Gods Own 7/4, Waiting Patiently 9/4.

5/2 in a place Oddy. He looks like an exciting horse. On a strict line through Politilogue he's a very capable chaser. I hope he wins on Saturday.

Hope so Bob, lovely horse. The only slight downer is that connections have stated they will only run him on soft ground so we may not see him at the big festivals (although surely we are due a soft ground Cheltenham?)

It’s nice to see the ‘Warwick Classic’ given a prizepot boost (up from £60k to £75k), following it producing the Grand National winner last term, but what the bally blinkin' ‘eck has happened to the class re the entries! The top weight is perched on 139. In ’17 it was 152, ’16 146, ’15 147 and ’14 150. That is some fall and with more money available to boot.

2.40 Kempton - Dentley De Mee- 25/1 ew

Altho had bet on William Henry earlier in the week at a bigger price than he is now. The race you can make a case for about half the field having a look I like the look of this fellow. Still very unexposed and the stable seems to be finding thier form. Lizzie Kelly Riding 10st 3 which is apparently one of the lightest she can do! And seems a decent ew price for me

Two against the field in the Lanzarote

    River Frost 6/1

Kept for a race of this nature for a few months off the back of a very strong race LTO where pretty much everything that's run has won including Sam Spinner. 6/1 looks perfectly fair given the strength of that form, the fact he's a c&d winner and the expected improvement.

    Le Patriote 16/1

I wasn't going to bother with a saver but there's 16/1 in a couple of places about this Newland inmate who may very well prove a step ahead of 127. Ground may be a concern but at 16/1 i don't mind taking the chance it's miles ahead of its mark. Really just a case of why has Newland had this since November and now chosen to run him. He obviously knows the time of day so it's perfectly feasible he's got a handicap snip on his hands.

I fancy Bags Groove to outrun his 14/1 odds in the Lanzarote. C & D winner last time out albeit on good ground, has run well in the past on softer and think this progressive 7 year old could run into a place at the very least. Showed good attitude and heart to run on last time out when looked beaten 2 out. My tokens are on. 14/1 Bet365 paying 4 places.
    Good luck today guys.

Not like stick with a decent share i own literally a 1.2% share of a horse, but it runs tonight anyway! Not expected to win tonight just a first race back after a break get it in shape for the end of the month, still pretty overpriced at 33/1 though should manage to come somewhere between 3rd and 7th. Cheers OddDog. Birthday trip to cologne few months ago. Flight delayed and arrived at hotel 15 minutes to midnight where birthday drinks should have commenced and the Mrs opened the mini bar and grabbed the bottle and wished me happy birthday. Bar full of kolsch and one alcohol free one amongst them and I saw my birthday in with it! Can assure you though it was the first it most definitely was the last!

    Warwick 3.35pm

Missed Approach 6/1. Not the best quality renewal of this race and last time out was 6th in the Ladbrokes Trophy. I think he is good enough to win this despite top weight for the excellent Greaterex/Sheehan combination.

No, no, no , no, no. The ‘top table’ (well the ‘top table’ after the one housing the bride and groom) on this occasion is reserved for Her Majesty, King Philip, dear old Henry Ponsonby, Ems Spencer, Sam Waley-Cohen and the 11th richest man in Wales. I will make do with a perch on the periphery.

It’s certainly the biggest event in Scotland since the Referendum.

Interestingly, people, what do you call the wife of a Lieutenant?!? That has to be the question of the day.
