Alioski? ****e show pony just watch how many times he backs out of tackles and gives up on 50-50 balls only plays when it's easy
Hope nobody's already bought tickets and accommodation for these 4 https://www.leedsunited.com/news/team-news/22859/live-tv-latest-fixtures-selected
Hope the fine isn't too big, and if the reason for the fallout with TC is correct then he has a **** attitude if not prepared to fight for a place so best he ****s off
I disagree, but that's football for you! I have a bit of a bias, tbh. I love Macedonia & am a frequent visitor. Also met him & think he's a really level-headed, reserved, & polite young man. I agree that he's far from being an animal, but I don't agree that he backs out as often as you suggest (but he most certainly does do sometimes!). I think he's a very exciting player who continues to develop, and he's not doing too badly to contributing to the goals & assists tallies. I really object to the term 'show pony'. He's not. Now if you were talking about someone like Adryan, you'd be right, but not in this case.
Suppose only time will tell white jock but he winds me up he's a pretender in my eyes but like you said we all have different views
My problem is that he spends more time trying to con free kicks than giving them away, and the refs have cottoned on to his antics and mostly ignore him now, even when he has a case. That and the waving imaginary cards.. There's a real talent in there, agreed. Heart of a lion?
I once called a certain Manu Utd player a show pony and said he would never do anything and fell over too much. He proved me wrong as he has won the World Player of the Year around 7 times. Alioski is no Ronaldo but nor is Grot a powder puff. We slag our own players off too much, and I include myself in that
Alioski is definitely not a show pony ... he makes a tackle and gets back to defend ... the only time I've seen hin hesitate is when we have a weak ref who doesn't protect the footballing players ... recently we've had a few refs who have allowed the opposition to kick our players at will, with Saiz and Alioski the main targets ... Hernandez has also come in for rough treatment, and even Roofe has started to get lumps ... don't mistake self preservation for show pony, Alisoki wants to play, not spend the rest of the season on the treatment table ... we are lucky to have him, he is a player for sure, and as Doc says, don't understand this constant belittling of our players ... you'd swear this is a Scum board and some Leeds fans have found their way over here to diss Scum players
Too harsh Billy. I have a limited view, but have regularly seen Alioski duck out of challenges that Viera or Philips wouldn't. And the card thing does my head in.
Agree about the card thing, but tbf, I've not noticed him do it for a long time now - it's bloody TC that hasn't lost the habit yet!
I noticed when Berardi switched to right-back against Forest he seemed to get forward better, so maybe we won't miss Ayling so much and will have a better balance to the team.
Isn't football a contact sport therefore you are going to get kicked it's part and parcel of the game. You can't pick and choose which games your going to turn up depending on how much protection you get .like I say Billy's it's all about opinions and just because mine don't align with yours doesn't make me a scum fan. I see alioski with my own eyes week in week out and I know what I'm seeing
