It is a funny thing about football and its surroundings "it is dynamic" up down, in out, left right, win lose, good bad, deep shallow
the words opinion feature on here more times than not, and whilst love v hate is a thinly veiled description of an event/person we get by! ... by opinions!
A few did go a bit deep on their condemnation of the events last season, not least the amoebic zero IQ's that hung the tardy painted banners or issued the threats.
Principals and their values WAS taught to me by grand father in the 50's, blinded by a german handgrenade WW1 at Mons, which took off 6 fingers as well, he was thankful it didn't include the index fingers and thumbs! He became a very successful mat maker ..razor sharp knives having no fear for him!
Wiz has his own set of principals, and he felt his course of action to abandon visits to the ground was the right thing to do. Time is a healer, and I am sure Wiz will one day come round and decide the time is right, bearing in mind his sabbatical was also based on family life and other things as well.
and lets be honest, there will be come a time when this bubble bursts.. we lose a few! The reality is we have just lost 4 on the bounce! always happy to say we are undefeated in "x" which includes cup games! so at least a draw v NORWICH IS IMPORTANT!

Just to respond to some points that have been raised, my personal activities or feelings with regard to the City are irrelevant to the City cause, I am minscule, small potatoes, meaningless and unimportant to the direction of the football team or decisions made or being made by the club, I know it and it causes me no pain nor the tens of thousands of jubilant fans who now storm Ashton Gate every home game, good luck to them

I have expressed a point of view on a personal level about Mr Johnson and that remains, I have always bellowed I am a team and Bristol City FC supporter, I now realise Johnson is brilliant for our team and club, I was wrong about his management and playing style, they work and he has stuffed that right up my proverbial, I loved the other night, I am buzzing about the team and I'm proud to support them.

I just wish to now sink into the background and support the club in my own fashion, my respect for Johnson with regards to the team is total, now I can prepare for the Spring down in Cornwall without interuption, I love it.

Keep all your input going mate...I for one respect your opinion whether you like LJ or not, the fact that you acknowledge the job he is doing is good enough for me..
I don't get down there as often as I would like to, due to work, but I will always follow my team like I have for the past 50+ years!

I appreciate and respect your honesty Wiz, but personally, I am not (yet) prepared to go quite as far as you have.
It's not that long ago we were on the worst run in the clubs history and it could all go tits up again just as quickly and all the current euphoria would quickly be forgotten.

Football is all about form and no one remembers the 'also rans'.

Yes the team under LJ have performed incredibly well this season, especially away from home in the Championship, and the conquering of 4 Premiership clubs in the LC, including Manchester United to get to the 3rd LC Semi Final in my lifetime is a wonderful achievement. But I'm going to see where we finish this season before I capitulate totally.

But in the meantime, long may it continue.

For me, last season is in the past. It hurt - but let's remember that we didn't get relegated and ended the season strongly. Also, I'm not sure that the bad run was directly the fault of LJs management - remember that our poor form ended when JP left and Tomlin was dropped.
If we are going to cling on to the bad club record from last season then why not mention the record away following on Tuesday night? - the record attendances? - the record number of STs sold? - or the record number of shots on goal at the Ethiad (unbeaten by any other team in all competitions to-date)?
I was as frustrated as everyone was last season, but it's gone - it's over.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions and I'm not telling people how they should feel - I'm just saying how I personally see it. Right now I'm loving it and Lee is doing a very good job indeed. Whilst our good performances continue I'm not going to complain - I suppose I am now in the category of 'Happy Clapper' but that's not to say that I will always feel that way - if we go on a bad run then I will be there calling for change like the next person but hey - I'll worry about that if/when it happens.

I'm a bit amazed with that Angelic...Had we a new manager at the beginning of this season and we had the same success, I imagine he would be hailed a hero and what LJ would have been called is nobody's business....
It's a much improvement of last season and not only that he's turned us into an entertaining team, don't think one could ask for more..
Surely credit where it's due......and of course we will finish in a better position than last season........

I'm not being deliberately awkward here, just trying not to get too carried away with our newly found success quite yet.

Like you (I suspect), I've seen the very highs of various promotions and Freight Rover/whatever it was then called Final wins at Wembley and Cardiff (but especially the promotion to the big time in 1976, and getting to the FA Cup 6th round in '74 and 3 x LC Semis) and the deepest troughs (being 90th in the football league in 1982 and losing to Hull in 2008)

So for me it's finding that balance between despair and euphoria, and learning the history lessons that following City have taught me over the years.

City are also my one and only club as a genuine supporter.

But I do follow the results of some random others. Such as Stenhousemuir, Berwick, Torquay United (who are in deep deep **** right now and will probably be relegated from the National League even with Gary Owers in charge), and Hibernian.

    4 on the spin ???

    Johnson out <laugh>

Wolves: had it in the bag. Should have won. IMHO a Johnson mistake cost us that one but others have a different view, but I think we all agree we should have won it.

Villa: a game too far perhaps? Our players decimated by injuries and exhaustion against a team currently on the up. A bad day at the office.

Watford: our kids vs a premiership full strength side on their own patch. No humiliation to be beaten 3-0.

Man C: we did better than most and ok we lost but did anyone really expect us to win? FFS if Chelsea had played them on Tuesday, Man C would still have been favourites.

I agree. He's a great shot stopper, his distribution can leave a lot to be desired at times but this is definitely improving (to my eyes) but more than that, he works well with the core leadership of our team, Flint, Baker, Magnusson and Wright. With Fielding we have a back 5, not a back 4 and a keeper. As I said, in my opinion anyway.
