Hence why Keita is going to come early. Perhaps not early enough!! Edit: hate it when the batard does this
KDB runs the show we have to deal with him, once that's done the rest can all go at it and we'll see what happens.
Will enjoy the Gomez vs Sane match up. Last game I believe it was TAA and he didn't have a good game. Luckily Salah should help keep Sane in check by tearing up whoever is at LB for Citeh.
Gomez has been caught defensively lately. Teams have figure him out and got at him. Both TAA and Gomez are young and learning but neither fill me with confidence.
They have been using Delph there which would be a mistake for them and I have a feeling they will change that to someone a bit quicker.
It would make sense to play TAA IMO as I think they will use Sane to try and get at us TAA needs to stick to task and be very cautious about going forward.
Tactically it's an interesting game and both managers have a lot of thinking to do. We'd normally beat City by wanting it more but they've certainly improved mentally. Getting the tactics right will be a big difference and there's not one person on here who has the knowledge to deal with this one, the managers will earn their wage this weekend.
IMO keep gomez in. Nobody is going to skin the lad in the manner he's been done so far. Mingolet gomez Matip VVD robertson (3 stay back, LB goes forward Milner Can Windy (windy holds back a bit, milner drifts wide to robertson) Salah firmino mane Set up to play salah in all game. If other sides can get city to narrow loss and look like drawing lately then we surely have a chance of doing this if we focus on no mistakes and 4 man press Lallana to come no not start imo. If he starts for milner fair enough but the other two then MUST sit and can won't bother.
TAA will be skinned. Gomez has had more big game experience and has held his own against some of the best. The only thing Gomez is struggling with is switching off at the back post something I beleive has to do with the fact he is naturally a CB and lacks the awareness of a full back. Just watch how Robertson covers his side to see the difference
Robertson has impressed me covering his CB, you are probably right in that Gomez will be a bit more difficult to get by.
Gomez is improving all the time. His issue, as already mentioned, is a tendency to switch off on crosses and get caught ball-watching. This can be coached out of him I should think - he just needs to maintain his concentration. Robbo is doing well so far, way ahead of Moreno.
I say we forget the whole table and who has how many points and just give the title to whoever wins this game.
Paul Merson going for home win. think Liverpool could be the team that finally beat Manchester City. I know Philippe Coutinho is not there anymore but they've still got the firepower to beat them, with Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane. City haven't won at Anfield since 2003, although you've got to remember what City were like back then, they're not the team they are now that's for sure. But I fancy Liverpool - I didn't think I'd ever say that! PAUL PREDICTS: 2-1 (10/1 with Sky Bet)
