Same as any other player I would assume (even Kane), if the right offer comes in and the player is willing to go, he will leave.
The way I look at it, we've been disappointing in the PL, but far exceeded expectations in the CL, the exact opposite of last year. I know we've won CL games with Davies and Trippier, but I still think to beat the top teams we need faster CBs. Rose is now out indefinitely, so I'd love to get an LB this window. Are there any pacy LBs available, I wonder, for any price we might pay? Normally I'd be happy we're giving Walker-Peters more of a chance, but I don't like the thought either of him or Davies versus Juventus. I realize I'm dreaming if I think we're going to get a CL-worthy LB, by the way...
Apparently Wolves are interested in signing him. They’re also linked with AC Milan striker Andre Silva.
Apparently they had a bid of 34.7m rejected. Milan to Wolverhampton. Something straight out of football manager, that.
I think based on his form since Rose got injured last season, Davies has shown he's more than able to face any side in Europe. The gap in quality between him and Rose for me is minimal, in fact I'd say both have strengths over one another. There's not many LBs around who I think have performed better than Ben this season - both domestically and in Europe. As for Tripps, many will have noticed I've backed the lad up a lot in recent weeks, I know he's not world class and that Walker was clearly superior but I also feel he's not as bad as what some have made out. With Aurier still finding his feet (but seemingly getting better game by game) I think we're very lucky to have a guy of Tripps' calibre to be competing and pushing Aurier. When you look at Prem RBs, there's not too many better than him and so knowing that he's essentially going to be second choice once Aurier hits form, it's a position I think we're looking good in, especially as there's every chance that KWP will push for more opportunities in the future. It may even be a case that Tripps' days are numbered anyway, which for me is a shame because I do like the guy, but KWP is looking like a star in the making and I think he'll want to really push on over the next 18 months and stake his case for a first team place.
The choice of wording is interesting. I may be being overly optimistic but maybe Tony Khan is speaking the truth, in that Sessegnon WON'T be leaving this window. However, that's not to say a deal won't be agreed in which we buy Sessegnon in the coming days/ weeks but he stays with Fulham until the summer, just like what we done with Alli.
By complete coincidence, guess which shady **** has a stake in Wolves - and about half of their current playing squad?
It is being reported that Daniel Levy will be imprisoning Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen this summer and refusing to release them to the liberationist. humanitarian front of United, Real Madrid and Barcelona. If the Express and Star feel so strongly about their unjust imprisonment and right to be free', perhaps they should seek a grant of Habeas Corpus?
So what’s everyone’s predictions on the business we’ll actually do this month? We just seem to be “interested” in most up and coming players in Europe, as usual, but nothing concrete. IMO we won’t see anyone new playing for us this month, but maybe we’ll secure a deal for the summer. Perhaps a couple more loans to fringe players, too. I think it’s more likely we’ll see 2 or 3 new contracts agreed in the few days leading up to and including deadline day. Levy’s way of giving the fans something to cheer about.
For me, I'd be happy if we just signed a centre mid. I've sounded like a broken record these past couple of months but it really is the weakspot for me. Dembele's too much of a crock to be relied on, Winks still needs time plus he's not ambitious enough with his passing/ running at the moment, Sissoko is Sissoko and Dier & Wanyama are excellent at what they do defensively but we need someone else excellent to do the attacking aspects. So preferred choice would be Seri but if Andre Gomes is genuinely available and wants out then we'd be foolish if we didn't go in for him. Bonuses would then be getting Sessegnon sorted to join in the summer and a wideman to relieve the pressure on Sonny. I'm more than happy to keep faith in Nando, I just wish that when we do play him we'd play to his strengths, he's a top class striker.
