Listened to some of the match and seemed like Doyley had most of the shots...very concerned that we just can't put the round thing in-between the sticks with the net hanging from it!!! What formation were we playing...is there a better set up for the players we have?

At the start of the season we all looked at the squad and thought......'hmmm not bad, a better squad than last season. Finally have a left back and an experienced forward'.

SD needs to find a formation or combination that suits the players we have. As right now that's all we've got!!!

 

Someone give me a drink!! and then a gun so i can shoot the referees who have denied us 4 points and a place in the 2nd round of the CC.

I honestly think the FL need to look at the standard of officiating at games involving Watford Football Club. It gets worse and worse as the years go by and we are suffering because of it.

 

If we had created clear cut chances we would not have needed the ref's decisions.

Sorry but i am lost. Where i come from 14 shots on target and 13 off is a lot of clear cut chances. We can not blame our players, we have to blame the ref and congratulate the Rovers keeper for having a fantastic game.

 

There were only a few clear cut chances, I was there, stats mean diddly squat, it is the result that matters at the end of the day we got beat by a team 2 divisions below us. They had hardly any chances in the second half and if it wasn't for Gilmartin they would have scored in ET! We need a creative midfielder and a striker ASAP!

 

Then on that same basis if it werent for Bevan we would have been 4/5 clear by half time!! Stats tell everything and we were just unlucky, you are the only person to say we played badly, but thats your opinion so i respect it,.

I see it didn't pan out to well today then , League performances matter most though

 

evening mate, it depends on your point of view and who you are.

I for instance am not that worried by the result as what i read and heard on the radio gives me hope and shows improvement, whereas the proud scottish hornet would disagree and says we did very little.

 

Got a mixed day at work coming up - there's a Rovers fan which I don't need but I'll be in a better mood than the Norwich fan.

Yeah a few shocks, but thats the beauty of the cup. At least we only have to focus on the league now, however the extra time may have tired our youngsters out. Lets hope Brum are tired on sunday too!!

 

If we had taken our chances we would have not needed extra time! As I have said earlier Chris Hughton will be laughing as he was there watching us under perform IMO!

 

morning all, still having sneezing fits so a hot please AK and keep em coming.

Last nights result did not help with my recovery but for some reason I don't feel as downhearted as I normally do after a loss. Maybe it's because it was a cup match, or maybe that most reports have us as playing ok. We lost but we weren't destroyed by a lower team as some others were last night. As I mentioned last night we just need to find the right formation or combination of players within our squad and the results will start to come!!!

Until then I'm going to hide in the corner of my office and dose myself up with

 

Morning..... re our perfomance..... From my listening on the radio... Pricey seemed to think we just were unable to take our chances.... 27 shots and not getting one in comes down to the players..... well I guess it cant get any worse.. can it ??
