Seems like the kind of player we need, desperately. If he can score goals and create a bit of a buzz I'd be happy to have him here. Might give Gabbi someone to play off too.
I suspect that this is complete boll**ks but if it does happen I will cut up my membership card and post to Ralph with a suitably worded letter expressing my thoughts.....leave that to your imagination
See, the way I see it is, signing some whack job is far less offensive than blindly marching towards relegation with the most limited top flight manager I have ever seen. I'm on-board the mario bus, peeep peeeeeep.
I agree...probably untrue and he isn't our type of person or player....however, I would wait and see and hope if we signed him. The league is tight and most games are low scoring, so a few timely goals could shoot us up the table. I would be pragmatic if it happens.
We're not exactly in a great state right now, so we might as well have some fun, right!? In all seriousness though, he's a big personality, he's calmed down, and there's always been a brilliant player in there. I'd rather sign him, than sign nobody. If we got it right with him, he might save us from having a pretty awful manager. Plus yes, he'd potentially work well alongside Gabbi.
I'm beginning to be convinced as our position is dire....therefore am setting myself up for disappointment.
Moving from disappointment to delight is preferable to moving from optimism to despair. Unfortunately the latter is the way of the world for a Saints' fan.
https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/news/47282/ According to Ugly Inside the rumour has resulted from a single tweet from Leandre Griffit saying Saints were in for a NICE surprise. Hardly a spread in the Times.
