Irving Scholar in a red scarf. He might as well have supported THEM given that he ****ed us over to such an extent that it took a generation to recover.

When other fans mock us re wages we pay and how we negotiate fees they clearly have no understanding of our recentish past.
Chelsea and City got very lucky when they bollocked up as they were taken over by billionaires looking to spend stupid amounts.
Leeds, Wednesday, Wimbledon, Portsmouth, Charlton, Southampton, Coventry, Leicester, Barnsley, Wolves all imploded and only Leicester and Southampton recovered.
We scrapped by by the skin of our teeth.
If our players want wages we can't afford then they are sold end of and until we can afford to double our wage bill we are right to be sensible.

So, starting tomorrow, there's a big push on the stadium. We already knew that the South Stand steelwork and concrete terracing needed to be in so that the roof could be lifted. It seems that the first pitch trays [10 of 99] will be delivered which will mean that there should be some railings going in to test the thing, although the full fit would seem to be dependent upon lifting of the roof, which makes sense.

Also, construction above ground is starting on the hotel. I thought that was on hold 'sine die' but the fact that we're going ahead now, would seem to confirm that the stadium is progressing on time and access, capability and finance are available. All good news.

Now, let's smash Swansea and hammer the.....erm, well, you get the point.

Until the weekend, I thought that The Taxpayers' Arena was the most ridiculous stadium constructed in recent times. Until this baby, which is going to be used in the World Cup in Russia.

This is 100% genuine. I **** you not........

I grasped for a fitting word but the dictionary doesn't seem to contain one.

Jesus, the view from the back row of that monstrosity is only about 4 times as good as the view from row ZZ at Old Toilet. If we make the final the plastic Manure fans will no doubt feel at home.

The Council have signed the agreement for the £1 billion regeneration of the High Road West area, including the area around Tottenham Hotspur [sorry, White Hart Lane] railway station. Those with a love for Chick King, look away now.................

I can't believe the placement of that tree. You spend a king's ransom creating a thoroughfare with an amazing view of the new stadium and place a tree slap bang in the middle of the view?

Also, wouldn't the view in the second image be impossible given the positioning of the buildings in the first image?

Works due to start this year.

Big day on the stadium. The South stand has the concrete in up to its full height. There's still some missing to the east and west of centre but you get a proper look at the sheer size of it. A truly wonderful thing. I cannot wait to see it full on a match day.

Also, behind the South Stand there are some rails going in for the retractable pitch.

Just a lick of paint and we're done.

This is it in NFL mode. For proper football, there are 5 rows of movable seats to be put in front of the existing seating.

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the Tottenham South Stand,

I bloody hate heights. I get shaky painting the eves of a normal 2 story building. Despite this, I always try and 'do the tourist high places'. I went up the Empire State Building. I came straight back down again as it was a windy night and there was a 5" sway and that I couldn't deal with. I hugged the walls of The Gherkin when I went to the top floor restaurant and got as far away from the windows as possible.

I went to the Bernebeu this season and was at the back of the penultimate tier. I've gotta say that was pretty touch and go for a few seconds. It's the combination of height and steepness and it got my pulse racing and every so often I wanted the hell out of there.......

Apparently, the South Stand at its upper points is less steep than the other stands at NWHL, so it should be okay........but I reserve the right to bottle it completely and have to be escorted away by my daughter just like my Empire State disgrace.
