    Good Morning Everyone

Victor Orta has revealed that a spell at Cultural Leonesa will help Ideguchi adapt to the demands of Championship football.

Orta said: “We chose this moment to sign Yosuke because if he goes to the World Cup and does as well as we believe he can, then the competition for his signature would have been much higher.

“It is important that we anticipate the right moment to sign a player, we felt that waiting another six months could have been a risk – as we knew approaches had already been made by clubs in France and Germany and we have taken our opportunity.

“Yosuke has been in pre-season as the Japanese league ended in December and at this moment in time we already have good competition for places in our midfield.

“We have seen good performances from Eunan O’Kane, Ronaldo Vieira and Kalvin Phillips, with Mateuz Klich also available for selection – therefore it might be hard for Yosuke to get the game time he needs in the build up to the World Cup.

“The Segunda Division in Spain is physical like the Championship and I believe that players can adapt to life in the Championship a little easier if they have experienced this league in Spain, as we have seen with Samuel Saiz.”

Pontus Jansson has been short listed as the EFL Skybet Championship player of the month for December.

Also nominated for the award are Scott Carson (Derby County), Jamie Paterson (Bristol City) and Romaine Sawyers (Brentford).

We will find out the winner on Friday.

Do we think Jansson is back to his best?

Belgian left-back Laurens De Bock has finally signed. A reported fee of around £1.5 million was agreed.

Bit weird considering Hamberg were in the mix with 6m on offer!

He has signed a four-year contract.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has told a Leeds United supporter on Twitter that Posh have had contact with a 'northern Championship side' regarding striker Jack Marriott.

The Mirror reported on Tuesday that Leeds and Hull City are leading the chase for Marriott, and both of those clubs fit the description given by MacAnthony.

Yes buddy I can confirm that phone conversations took place this week with Champ club up north. https://twitter.com/Waccoe1919/status/951153796574515200 …

Leeds United are reportedly lining up an offer for Preston North End striker Jordan Hugill.

Preston are thought to be demanding more than £12million for the powerful centre-forward.

    Is he worth that amount?

The Belgium left back will prove to be a brilliant coup or a decent purchase. The Hamburg link is a joke as we know they are skint and thats why they wanted rid of Lassoga. It also seems to be good paper talk to link Hamburg and Leeds for the same players, for example to so-called young Samuel Ito we were supposed to be chasing but got outbid by Hamburg. Lazy journalism.

Hugill isnt worth anywhere near £12m and his stats prove that. Madine is a much better striker and available for £2m. I posted links to some stats yesterday showing more goals, more assists and fewer minutes per goal than Hugill. Stats are subjective I know.

The Jap player for me is all about selling shirts and drumming up interest in the Far East. Dont have a problem with that but when a player is touted as being the first name on the Japanese team sheet, yet not good enough to get into our team? I think this is all about an investment opportunity and hope he has a goodWorld Cup then cash in.

Pablo cannot replace Saiz for 6 games on the bounce, because Pablo has form problems as we know, so the problem for Tommy is working out how to play without Saiz if we are not bringing a new midfielder in.

Morning Doc, can' see the fans being happy with Madine tbh. They want to see 3, 4 or 5m players even though Nadine would be an absolute snip at 2m

Morning all. Around end of February will be a good time to assess our new signings when they’ve either played four or five times for us or are stuck in subs bench with the rest. All the stats and you tube videos seem to mean nothing until they actually play at Elland Road. Ayling injury is a huge blow but we’ve been very lucky with injuries to date. Some teams have eight or nine injured at a time regularly

Good Morning to Matt and co from a dull Bardsey
The big striker who is available looked good in the video that Doc showed and a far more realistic buy than Hughill at £12m.I still like us to sign Madison and Marriot because they are both young developing and hungry. The sooner BJ goes back to Manchester the better
Am I right in thinking that De Bock has now officially signed for us
Madine is a handful and now lives with the disgraced Adam Johnsons ex girlfriend .She obviously likes her football!

Madine is 27 And has had half a good season. (Plus a reasonable one in league 1 a few years back). Could be a late developer... could be just on a bit of a streak, that’s the gamble you take. Warnock likes him and has bud, possibly because he gave Cardiff a hard time. Haven’t seen much of Bolton so don’t have a personal opinion.

The Serbian from Athens has had a decent season in Poland and a good one in Athens... does that and his game translate as a good fit for championship? Hard to say, that’s what a good scouting team are paid to evaluate.

At the moment we’re discussing internet rumour on all these guys... inc Hugill, the posh lads.

If I was buying a striker I would go for .................................Jack Marriot because he is a natural striker and you don't get many of them Hughill and Madine are different m ore physical players but not so natural strikers

When we played Bolton back in August we beat them but Madine scored and roughed up our defenders . In a struggling team Madine is scoring goals and assists. Hugill doesnt do the damage that Madine does plus Hugill is way over priced

great news that De Bock has signed, he is a talented player and a proper left back ... Wolves were after him as well, but only woke up once he was having his Leeds medical ... info I have is that Feyenoord and St Etienne were also keen, but he wanted to move to Leeds because they are "a big English club" ... hopefully he settles quickly and makes a contribution

strikers are very difficult in the January window because those who are scoring regularly are going to cost way above their true value ... Wolves have actually tried and failed with a £34m bid for a young striker at AC Milan, underlining their paranoia at failing to go up this season, because they know they have massively broken FFP rules

Hugill at £3m (forget £12m) is a gamble because he is a big lump who hasn't yet suffered a tough injury, and of course nobody knows how he will cope mentally in a Leeds shirt ... for me, he is not the answer ... the last natural finisher Leeds signed, and yes I class him as more natural than Wood, was Beckford ... if the Peterboro lad is 75% as instinctive as Beckford was then he will be a sound buy ... the most important thing about Beckford was that he just wanted to play and score goals, and the Leeds shirt didn't weigh him down because scoring was the most important thing to him, he lived for the bulge of the net ... that's what is needed

Madine is a donkey, he is not a consistent scorer and he won't be effective at Leeds ... the Jota lad at Birmingham was mustard at Brentford, and at the time he was spoken of as a Leeds target ... Harry crushed any hope of getting him when Brum bought him for £8m, and we had Wood of course ... interesting that Jota isn't a regular starter at Brum, but that's because Cotterrill likes his "grafters" ... Jota would have no problem playing at Leeds, may be worth getting him on loan for rest of season with a buy clause if he is successful

Ayling's injury is a blow, he was effective going forward ... Berardi will slot in comfortably at right back, but his lack of pace is a real concern, and we have seen how opponents match up their quicker players against him, even Newport did it when he moved to left back

Ideguchi is still only 20, it's his first move away from Japan so it makes sense to loan him to Cultural for 5 months ... he gets to play in better weather for sure, and he can adapt to life away from home without the huge Elland Road pressure ... he is a signing with big potential, look forward to seeing him in action next season

the run in is going to be really hard, and so far our rivals haven't splashed big money in this window ... things may heat up in the last week, be interesting to see how crazy Wolves get, and also if Boro decide to add to the £52m they spent in the Summer ... Villa, Bristol City, Cardiff and Sheff Utd probably won't flash the notes, Derby and Wednesday might ... if Fulham feel they have a chance they may take a tilt, but for now it looks like Wolves will be the only Championship club to invest heavily in this window if their targets become available

Pablo's consistency is a concern in that position, got to agree with that. I actually fancy Ruth in that position, and always have. We've also used Phillips up there to 'defend from the front' in at least one match recently. I'd love Stokes to get some minutes there, but realistically, it's not going to happen. Alioski?

Plenty of internet and newspaper chatter that Man Utd peed off because he hasnt had game time and want to bring him home and fine Leeds as per the contract clauses. Other sites saying Tommy is disappointed with him and wants to send him back, 2 other stories saying Tommy will start CBJ at left back and Anita at right back with De Bock and Berardi to step in if required? Same spiece says CBJ and Tommy had a fall out as he was led to believe Berardi was going to be right back and not take the left back slot? Consensus seems to be he goes back home?

WJ I think he may have a pop at 4-4-2 again, I know it was shyte last week but think he may bring in Clarke? Ruth may work as I think his best position would be in the hole if we had a Shearer/Beardsley patrnership

Some times when a manager is desparate he is obliged to play kids if they are any good they thrive. I am all for giving promising lads a chance.
