Inter on loan is the only rumour so far, #cheapitalians Think we can get more by selling him to the glue factory
The only Inter ones I can see are for a loan or Sturridge apparently touting himself to them. Further looking has Celtic and Soton also interested
No point in him going to Saints, he still won't be good enough. Better off going Inter imo, slower league will suit him. He'd score bucket loads at Celtic but that's basically retiring
So Leipzig say we can sign Keita this month for a 13m premium. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spor...ews/rb-leipzig-midfielder-naby-keita-14138844
Well you have got a bit left from your sale, not much but enough to cover an extra £20m (once you get the add ons)
Already paid a premium to get deal done last summer so didn’t have to wait till this one when release clause kicks in. I think club will see how we get on in next 2/3 weeks. If we cope ok then think money will be saved and used for future transfers.
I'd rather we didn't let RB Leipzig squeeze us ridiculously. We're paying a £48m release clause, a further £3m flat fee last summer and further add-ons depending on how well RB do this season. Another £13m is desperation. I'd rather we throw that £13m towards Goretzka and get him to sign a pre-contract (although that wouldn't cover the current hole in midfield). Edit - any move for Sturridge should include at least 75% of his wages and a loan fee. I think we ought to consider any offer upwards of £15m in the summer for him.
Liverpool boosted in early Keita arrival hopes please log in to view this image Naby Keita’s hopes of joining Liverpool early have been dealt a fresh boost. The Reds are set to welcome the midfielder into their ranks this summer but had hoped to fast-track his move by a full six months to the current transfer window. Philippe Coutinho’s sale to Barcelona prompted Anfield officials to consider drafting in Keita sooner despite RB Leipzig unlikely to be receptive to the idea. However the Bundesliga side appear to have softened their stance on allowing the Guinea international to leave midway through the current campaign. According to Bild, Leipzig would be looking to command an additional fee of £13 million to facilitate the original £57m move brokered with Liverpool last summer. Embed from Getty Images That figure would be enough to allow the Red Bull-owned club to improve their squad and aid their compliance with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations. Liverpool are understood to be happy to pay the new premium for Keita, who has scored five times for Leipzig in 20 appearances to date this season. http://www.clickliverpool.com/sport...d-rb-leipzig-philippe-coutinho-transfer-news/
I think we should definitely look to bring Keita in January - extra £10m isn’t ideal but it would mean he a)boosts our midfield and can help us challenge for a top 4 place and b) gives him a good settling in period before next season starts. I do hope we have another signing lined up though.
