Do we really need another CM though?

yes. but is Michael Wood a suitable replacement for our No.1 target, Neil Danns? With respect to MIchaels, he is just another kids looking for a break

weve been signing alot with potential, I imagine theyre to slowly break into the side, seen as we have no other cm's in the youth team other than cairney. theyre going to be on tiny wages so it isnt too bad.

I'm sure if he's anything like, he'll replace Cairney rather quickly.

Woods has great potential hence why Chelsea took him. So far City have been lucky in missing out on Neil Danns as he has been average at best for LCFC. The spanish lad Fernandes also looks a better prospect than Danns.

Had to laugh at Norwich City last night. 5 of last seasons promotion team plus Ayala start the game. Result 0 - 4 loss @ home to MK DONS. Oh dear. Just goes to show and the results overall last night show that cup shocks happen. Lol @ sunderlands loss at brighton. Citys loss to Macclesfield does not seam so bad now does it.

I don't think we'll see them both play. I have a feeling Cairney won't play on Saturday as Pearson didn't seem to like his constant sideways passing.

Chelsea must have really rated him, they paid £5m for him and Tom Taiwo from the Leeds academy when they were 16 and he's local(Pocklington).

CORRECT. I remember the agro that went on over that. Poaching talent and all that. Leeds really were angry and as OLM says Chelsea had to pay alot of money for 2 un-knowns.

As for Cairney ? there will be a few who should be dropped before him. I dont think Woods will start against Reading but maybe on the bench. But in time Cairney and Woods would be a great midfield combo With Brady and Stewart on the wings. Now the picture looks a whole lot better. Just need a forward who can score.

SAM BALDOCK @MK SAM BOLDOCK @ MK SAM BOLDOCK @ MK.

am sure city have some deadwood that can be sent there way. Harper and Adebola(if he wants away) plus cash may tempt MKD ?

That would be a very light midfield, I think there's more chance in seeing Woods with the Madrid lad.

I think there's a decent chance that there's going to be a queue forming for Baldock's services, he seems to be getting better all the time and there's a lot of interest. They already accepted a bid for £1.2m from Peterborough, but he didn't want to go there and I'm not sure that we'll be looking at taking any more £1.2m punts on lower league players anyway.

Light Yes But very skillful. Do you remember when City had Steve McLaren, Billy Askew and Gary Parker in the midfield.
All 3 were light but boy did they do some damage with there passing and shooting.

I would love Woods and Cairney to be given that chance.

Cairney can't even run though, Jimmy had a far, far better workrate than him.

Thats why City need to move fast. If the deal can be structured and City can offer players in exchange then maybe a deal can be done. Maybe tempt them with £600k down Plus add ons upto 2million over time. Worth a try at least.

what you on about? Cairney has been our best CM this season, he's a quality player, this is his season.

Still in two minds about Woods... no one has seen him enough

i would not argue on Cairneys running or lack of. But that can be worked on. But for sure TC has been one of our top players so far this season. That is not in dispute.

I still think he should be sent out on loan. But he has been one of our better players, I agree.
