As the rats leave the (temporarily) sinking ship that is Arsenal, how close is Alex to getting a game. A couple more weeks and he could be their senior player! I bet he gets a game in next month or so..make or break for him if played too early at this level.

I reckon 2 or 3 years before he plays for Arsenal - However, he'll be in the England squad for Euro 2012 but not actually play a single minute of any match, as he is the next Theo apparently...

I think arsen we just give up when losing 3-1 with ten minutes to go, and he will chuck him on, he will then score a hattrick, and wenger will be carried around the stadium as the tactical messiah i once was

he was about 6 yards away on Saturday, sat on the bench :cheesy:

I think he's time will come soon, and I hope he does well. It is a fantastic opportunity for him. I bear no malice toward him. We gave him a great start and have had a shed load of money for him. If he turns it on at Arsenal, then the world will again look at Southampton saying how good we are at producing players. This will help us when looking to sign other younsters and when signing young professionals too as they know they will get brought on well at Southampton.

When we are a top half Premier team banging on the door of europe, then I'll get annoyed if we lose our home grown players.

I honestly reckon he could end up coming on tonight, especially if Arsenal go into the last 20 needing an away goal.

AOC will be much better than Theo. He can actually cross a football and go past a man with the ball at his feet, something Theo fails at often. Oh, and he's genuinely two footed.

Chamberlain will be class, and it won't be long before he starts making the off appearance for Arsenal, especially considering they have no players.

Oh, and to the poster who sais he has "****ed his career up", care to explain how exactly?

I don't really care how he gets on to be honest and it's because of they way him and his dad handled themselves, just think it disrespected the club,i think that is why there are a few people who don't wish him well,if he just sat in the background and didn't try and force a move i think we'd all have your sentiments.

AOC will get a game for Arsenal sooner rather than later.... when he does Walcott's prospects at Arsenal will then go further down the pan, everytime I've watched him he has played sh**e.....the tw*t even released a book last week <doh>

Being 22 years old and releasing an auto-biography is ridiculous quite frankly - perhaps he feels his best days are behind him now!

I'm surprised people want him to flop. It's easy to say that he should have stayed because Arsenal are collapsing and we're top of the league, but I think by January we will probably be closer to most people's predicted positions (ie 6th ish) and Arsenal will be doing ok in the Premiership, and it will probably look like a reasonable decision. I know I would never have turned Arsenal down and I wouldn't expect any 18 year old with his head screwed on to do that either. Theo scored 9 Premiership goals last season and just scored in the Champions League so I don't think he has flopped, personally.

I've read it. There are 5 chapters dedicated to the hat-trick against Croatia and then 3 about the goal in the Carling Cup final. No mention of the 2006 or 2010 World Cups though :)

I heard through a friend that the OC family are at logger heads, Alex didn't want to go, his mum and brother didn't want him to go but his dad made him (pushy parent and journeyman makes for a bad combination). The way he (Mark) handled himself in the media, this doesn't surprise me what-so-ever and probably bullied Alex to jump and organise that interview with The Sun. I feel for Alex if this is the case. If my dad told me to move companies if I was happy there I'd tell him to do one.

And has an hat-trick for England to his name....against the no5 side in the world at the time....and the team most English fans were desperate for us to beat. Even if he never reaches those heights again that is something pretty remarkable to have on your footballing CV. Also played awesome in many european matches (when given the chance)

I think AOC will only get subs appearances this season. Not too many. In the champs league (or eufa if they fail) coming on once a game is already won for the last few moniutes.

He will of course start the Carling cup matches as is customary for Whinger.

You're right. He hasn't flopped. Anyone who seriously thinks he has isn't too bright.

A regular starter for a top 6 Premier League side, regularly getting into England squads, earning huge amounts of money.

Yep, Theo's ****ed his career right up! :emoticon-0102-bigsm
