Makes you wonder why we are so awful and playing such boring and unwatchable football this season. When we have so many players wanted by the top Leagues.

So, Pritchard, Martin, Naismith and Klose heading for the exit door? It seems that Martin has some value in the transfer market which surprises me but will probably go on loan. I think Klose came to CR for nearly £8m so we would be looking to get at least that sum back. Naismith doesn’t seem to be in anybody’s good books so I think we are stuck with him draining the coffers. This transfer window seems far from being the quiet one DF forecast with a number of players linked to be coming to CR as well as leaving.

According to trasfermarkt we paid £4.5m for Klose. Now 29, his value is listed at £3.6m. Basel are looking to get £15m for their CB leaving, so we might do a bit better, but not much more than £5m IMO. If Pritchard leaves, I'd rather we keep Klose but it's hard to say which way it would go.

    Recent sales figures:

    Jacob Murphy (Newcastle) - £12.5m

    • Nathan Redmond (Southampton) – £11m

    • Leroy Fer (QPR) – £10m

    • Lewis Grabban (Bournemouth) – £8m

    • Bradley Johnson (Derby) – £7.5m

    • Robert Snodgrass (Hull) – £7m

I'd say all of those were good deals and £13m+ for Pritchard would be another.

To be honest in the modern game everybody is up for sale if the price is right. Pritchard will go - it is just a question of where and how much. He made a mistake by choosing us over Brighton and won't want to make the same mistake again. Despite their good start Huddersfield are only 4 points off relegation and remain a fair bet to come down. The likes of Palace and West Ham seem to have more chance of staying up and Everton are looking for younger flair players. If a Club like that offer £15m then he will be off and not a lot of it will be spent on replacements. Big fees mean big wages and we have got to drastically cut the wage bill despite the likes of KIO still believing that the independently audited accounts are a work of fiction.

We'll said 1950. Apparently Swansea and Bournemouth have both expressed interest in Pritchard so the bidding could hot up. Like many newly promoted teams, Huddersfield made a good start and then have fallen away in recent games. They need a lift now, but as you say, Pritchard could be wary of another wrong step.

I think you need to consult the list of recent purchases, including £8.5m for Pritchard, to determine that KIO! :)

It seems pretty certain that Pritchard will leave this window and the only question seems to be his ultimate destination and fee. I'd still like us to get £15M or close to that figure, but I'd settle for anything above £12M.

Sometimes you seem unable to look beyond ' ins and outs ' An average wage of £20k a week means a wage bill of £26m a year for the squad of 25. Even if the ground is full every week then each seat would have to raise nearly £1000 a year just to cover the wage bill of the first team squad alone and quite clearly each seat does not raise that. Add on NI, pension contributions, medical cover costs, wages of other staff and players, normal running costs, the academy, incoming transfers, hotel costs, agents fees etc etc etc then it is not hard to see where any profit on players sold plus the TV money has gone. Sacking a Manager and his staff every 2 years doesn't help either!!!

That seems pretty definite about Ebuehi, especially this bit:

"Fifa rules only allow pre-contract agreements to be signed by players aged 23 and over – meaning it wouldn’t be an enforceable piece of paper anyway."

My glass is now probably 65% full that DF can turn things around, but if Trybull doesn't sign a new contract .......
Still, we have Godfrey to return and HOPEFULLY Thompson to recover!! <yikes>

Still can't get over 8m for Grabban. That was such a good sale for us. :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm
