thats smaller though. half the size so its for a different scale? the echo isn't on the scale of the O2 or the manchester arena

    Would it be competing directly?

I mean all anyone does now is got to ed sheeran concerts so its either a stadium tour for the guy or an arena tour?

the kiddies go to arenas indoors for little mix to pollute thier brains while all the music snobs go to ed sheeran stadium concerts?

Is the issue not that there are more than enough venues close by to fill. old trafford, city's bowl? for the big stuff and then the smaller arenas are more suited to the low rent small timers.

anyway as you might guess form my total lack of input into the music thread I really have zero interest in music concerts and very little other than passing interest in music so its not like i've been to them all to know.

I'd have thought the sacle of the everton stadium was such that it would be competing for world tour event dates for major acts who would play london, manchester etc.

Clearly getting upset tobes about that major looking like he's completely lost the plot and needs an asylum before he gives your club the councils entire budget.

As it stands, EFC want to build a stadium thats basically in the middle of nowhere, if it gets built as planned the city's infrastructure on that side of town will have to change to suit the new stadium, road access is a must, possible Merseyrail station etc, Manchester already has transport and parking linked to their venues, the City council and the Dept of Transport will play as big a part in Everton's venture being successful as the club itself.

The middle of nowhere is pushing it a bit <laugh>

If you mean it forms part of the Liverpool Waters development.......

I see the frenzied screeching of those ‘who aren’t bothered’ is reaching fever pitch lol......and all based on the words of a bloke who says that they’ll fund 2/3rds of it <laugh>

Tobes, it's derelict around that Bramley Moore/the Dock Road/Great Howard Street area, there's a couple of factories and car sales and a pub, the rest of it is empty and flat, Liverpool Waters developments haven't reached that far along yet.
Plenty to do around the area of the new stadium before it's presentable and accessible.

He did know of it's existence because we've spoken about it several times in terms of a venue for things [boxing I think the last time we mentioned it] and even I didn't know the Echo arena's capacity till I just looked it up <laugh>

And the Bramley Moore is in the middle of nowhere - relatively speaking - just wish they'd get on and start the thing to change the middle of nowhere to the middle of somewhere.

In his defence, he's been away too long. It was a thriving dock area with working jam factory last time he lived here :bandit:
