In the car park at PC World, about to go in and buy a printer. At some point this day will find me swearing at technology, threatening to throw laptop and printer in the river, and giving serious consideration to taking up smoking again and chugging 200 ***s in one afternoon.
I do really. The one at the local library always has a piece of paper on it saying "sorry, out of service", and I don't really have access at work.
I'm lucky that I have access in work. The kids schools get told to do one, any homework gets printed in school.
The school thing is funny as they move to new teachers every year and I have to get on the phone again and inform them that I will not be buying a printer unless they wish to pay for it and the ongoing cost of it.
I haven’t owned a printer for years but I’m finding increasingly that I’m needing one. Mainly due to my business customers needing stuff on paper, which I find ludicrous in the age of digital technology, instant money transfers and being able to view online documents etc.
I'm having the laziest week off ever so laying around in bed watching Disney films with the nipper is the order of the day.
hate printers at home. Missus has one for her work but you hardly ever need them and they take up a load of space. Even though our one is a wireless one (was cheap as well) they are still a massive hassle
They used to refer to Home printers as ‘liquid gold’ as the cost of the replacement cartridges was so astronomical Any small commercial office would benefit from a hub printer.
If this works, I'll soon be printing A4 photos direct from my phone In other news, my son bought me a record deck for Chrimbo. Now that's technology I can embrace. I had to explain to him what a stylus was, how to hold a record so you don't touch the surface, all that stuff. He didn't know about 45s and 33s etc.

Ha, no mate, nothing in that league. This'll do though, until I eventually get round to buying some proper kit. Can hook it up to amp and speakers on the CD player/ipod dock, 45s sound great. For the full vinyl junkie album experience, something better will eventually be required. I'm a prevaricator, kept talking about going back to vinyl but baulked at the thought of having to completely rearrange the front room; but I've been quietly buying records for a while now. Going to a record fair on Friday too. https://www.digitalisdirect.com/product/steepletone-st926-record-player-black/
