No, I understand perfectly. If Celtic go out, Scotland will get fewer points. If Rangers go out Scotland will get fewer points. But the scenario set out by Dev was: 1. Celtic having been knocked out and Rangers going through then, 2. Celtic being reinstated and Rangers chucked out. My point (which I thought was clear to even the fickest) is that neither of those two scenarios would necessarily affect Scotland's coefficient more than the other (ie 1 team goes through in both). Regardless, the salient point was the second - ie it would be funny as ****.
aye but the rules say you must be eligable to play in your domestic league before you can play in its competition. technically Maribor are correct therefore, as he cant be eligable to play without a work permit. However its only a technicality and no doubt nothing will come of it. Id be very very surprised if rangers got more than a slap on the wrists for it. As for the Sion situation im surprised FIFA or UEFA havent done something about it already. Reason being if they are hoping Celtic knock sion out - then what? Do they allow them to get away with it? They have either broken the rules or they havent. If they have they must be punished whether they go through or not. If they go out and then face no punishment then it will make FIFA look stupid and powerless - and i cant imagine them letting that happen? So they shoudl really just get on with it As above with rangers though i do not expect Sion to be thrown out of the competition
Thrown out on a technicality. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14638576.stm "The complaint was thrown out on the grounds that it had not been made within 24 hours of the match, which took place last Thursday."
I think that it is a terrible situation that a team doesn't know the rules. Rangers have never had any trouble with the domestic rules as the authorities always make them up as they go along. It seems UEFA are not too fond of Rangers. The singing fines, the stubborn refusal to reduce Whitaker's suspension and now, well it appears they have no option but to apply their own rules and that could mean a fast exit from Euro.
Are you ******ed? Sometimes I think you must be at the wind up cos nobody could possibly be as ****ing stupid as you
There's whispers that the player played without having a medical therefore wasn't insured. Apparently this is something UEFA frown upon. <mix it up a bit>
Who the **** rattled your cage? Are you his ****ing boyfriend? I'm not surprised in the slightest it was you who started this sort of thread, you come across as the sort of guy who would rather see his rivals fail than his own team do well. Bet you had everything crossed for Rangers to go out of business but why shouldn't you, it would seem it's the only way your team would win the league
I think username should be banned from here. He clearly brings nothing to the Celtic board apart from his anger management issues.
Well at least we won't be getting chucked out now as for the guys on here who said they hoped we would I hope Sion hump you's and UEFA don't chuck them out. P.S I don't really but get ready for some harsh gloating if you do get put out and we continue the SOLE responsibility as Scotlands Co-Efficent as usual
Fenbarche have just be thrown out the champions league ( match fixing), Liverpool fans think they will be asked , talksport think Arsenal could lose tonight and get back in !!! Seemingly rule is team with highest co-efficent replaces Fenbarche .Surely Turkey gets nexts pick , statement being made 7.30
Again just shows the ******ation of UEFA surely whoever finished behind Fenerbahce should take their place instead of having another country take it.
