Heath been in wasn't greeted with great enthusiasm.
Walking up to the ground about 12.30 myself and a mate were looking in a shop window. A bloke asked us if we were going to the game and chatted about football for a couple of minutes. We were surprised when, as could see the players clearly as we were in the Well not far from the tunnel, to see him trotting on to the pitch. A sign of different times. Can't remember his name unfortunately.*
Remember looking across to the West Stand where Forest fans were and seeing the longest banner I have ever seen in BP.

*Just seen the player's name mentioned on another board and it brought it back. Terry Hennessey.

I was stood on bunkers for that match - a wee nipper - I remember watching Southport as well - I never went to Chelsea and my parents refused to let me go to the replay because there would be too many people there and it wasn't safe - I seem to remember that many children left school early so they could queue to get in

Nah - you should read my posts, you'll learn something - apparently I was a **** 4 years ago for writing this - thankfully everyone else has caught up now

if the Council wont sell him the ground - then tough - they dont have too and why should they - it cost over £40 million, property prices are increasing so he should offer £50 million - but he hasn't and he wont - he simply wants something on the cheap which belongs to Hull taxpayers and residents - the name change is just bollox cos he cant get his own way - he bid £45000 for the HU11 CTY registration plate in March this year and he stated he wanted to save that for the city and the club- he's nothing more than a silly nasty old man who happens to be very wealthy who believes he can do anything he wants and can trample on anyone who stands in his way - too much ego with absolutely zero class

    charon-the-ferryman, Sep 29, 2013

I really dont see this mass 'take me ' hysteria for Allam - except for the 'feed my ego' payment everything else has been shrouded in controversy - Barmby, Pearson, the Whitely pictures, the promotion celebration, the name change, the dealings with the council, the pathetic threat to relocate etc etc - its just more Allam **** though

    charon-the-ferryman, Sep 29, 2013

More Allam **** ? You ****ing pleb. Not only did Dr Allam save our club from extinction,he also funded a return to where we are now. He's made a big mistake,in trying to re-name us,but we haven't forgotten what he has done for us.

You ain't ever gonna burn my heart out...

Dr Allam - he never passed an exam - he bought it - and that's more Allam **** as well

    charon-the-ferryman, Sep 29, 2013

I don't like anti Allam posts.

They've done a great job and deserve our respect and thanks.

The name change thing is a mistake and should be fought all the way, but that takes nothing away from what they've done. I have no issue with the interest they're charging the club, no issue with the way they are running the club, I only have an issue with a pointless name change.

    The future is unwritten...

    Well said Kempton.

I SUPPORT A FOOTBALL CLUB, NOT A BRAND.

Why have you brought Allam(s) into this? If you go back far enough you’ll see that I was one of the first anti Allam posters as far back as 2011 as I was party to the conversations with the council re buying the stadium and what they really thought he wanted the land for. I also stated, on this board, straight after the first promotion under Bruce, that the best thing we could do is hand ever penny of the Sky money to them to get them to leave and we simply accept relegation back again.

But we’re not talking about Allam(s), so I don’t know why you brought it up. But seeing as you did, if you posted these comments 4 years ago then you were years behind me :emoticon-0148-yes:

Edit - it just occurred to me that when quoting all these other posters you were probably looking for pro Allam posts from me. Get anywhere did you?

I was in the south stand (Bunkers) for the Forest and Southport games, and went to Stamford Bridge as well as the replay at BP. The day out at Stamford Bridge still up there with the best away days I have had watching City.

I really don’t know why he’s brought all this up but people don’t need to justify their views based on what was public knowledge at the time.
