They must remember the time when McNally offered fourpence-halfpenny to Hull
for Robbie Brady and assumed that's how we like to do business? :emoticon-0112-wonde

I had similar thoughts, Cromer, but Hull hadn't paid £8.5m for Brady a year and a half earlier, had they. ;)

A good article (I guessed 3 of the 5 he mentions at the end) but as it points out, football fans are indeed a strange bunch. For instance, when things go wrong we / they feel the need to apportion blame, so some poor culprit becomes a whipping boy for some fans. Cue Russell Martin last season, as an example, and Bradley Johnson before his 16 goal season (he could walk on water after that, by the way, in most fans' eyes!)
I guess if you're paying upwards of £30 of your hard-earned to watch, you feel entitled to seeing 11 maestros out there each week, so when that doesn't transpire, the wrath has to be directed somewhere.
I don't think NCFC fans are any better (or worse) than fans of any other club in the land <ok>

Huddersfield have reportedly upped their offer for Pritchard to £11m. The Sun reports that he has agreed a 4 1/2 year deal. Not enough in my opinion.

Just scrolled through Skys' transfer centre and no mention of it there.

Well if the rumoured £11M fee is true it will be a case of NCFC selling on the cheap again if you ask me <doh>

We have him on a good contract still, for me they need to up it to £15m or they're wasting our time. Pritch will continue to impress and have multiple suitors then, a £15m+ fee should be assured and for Pritchard, hopefully a club bigger and better who will almost certainly not be as perennally at risk as Huddersfield will be whilst in the PL.

    Bah!

Pritchard is our best player and it's no coincidence that since he returned we have improved dramatically .
If we keep hold of him until the end of the season we have a tiny chance of a play off spot without we may not have enough attacking threat to even survive that's how important he is to the club.
Pritchard is young enough to hold his value especially with a few more goals and assists.
Selling him for £11m would not be a good deal in my opinion.
I would rather sell Klose Nelson and Jerome if we are that hard up.

Yes, £15M is the figure I had in mind and I'll believe it when I actually see it on the NCFC News.
I'm sure I'm in agreement with nearly everyone n here that I'd rather he stayed until the summer!!!
So Wagner claiming that he wouldn't pay over the odds for an English player in this window has vanished then!!!!

No smoke without fire this deal will happen I'm afraid, if we were to get market value (circa £15-20M) then fair enough but the reported £11M is pathetic business by the club IMO <grr>

That's what has been (supposedly) offered, not what's been accepted.
And when he does go, it will be one of those 'undisclosed' jobs anyway,
    so we'll never know accurately.

11 Million is nowhere near enough! I'll be livid if he goes for less than 15M. The M stands for Minimum.

I will also, however, not be at all surprised if he goes for 9. With a couple of Million Addons for if Huddersfield win the league.
