The only reason why it's feasible that an ape sex cell could fertilise with an human sex cell is the similarity between the DNA. It's not difficult science. If you think about, chances are something like a tiger and a lion maybe further apart evolutionary wise but they have mated successfully many times, you get a liger. Same with a horse and a donkey. It's not the fertilisation that is the problem, these hybrid species are unable to produce any offspring, they are infertile. It has nothing to do with religion.
