They have such a lead in the league now that they can afford to gamble playing a slightly weakened side and focus on the Cup competitions. Pep's complained a bit about the hectic winter schedule, but his side is the most able to deal with and take advantage of it because Man City have such incredible strength in depth. There aren't many teams that can sign a Brazil International right back (Danilo) for £26.5m to add as back up for an England international (Kyle Walker), signed from a supposed rival for up to £50m. Things can change quickly in football, but this is a side that is likely to win at least two trophies and not unthinkable to imagine four. If we get a result, it'll be significantly more impressive than beating Man Utd.
