A bit harsh considering he came off the bench, is young, and still adjusting. The lads not had a fair crack yet in my opinion. I'd have started him.

I bet Wickhams a better footballer than Claridge is a commentator.

Actually , our lass is a better footballer than Claridge is a commentator.

Probably, but he'd be just the type of player we need now..

Wickham will come good, IF he is given a chance.

This wasnt what he said actually, he said he had a poor first touch and said he has a long way to go to make the step up to the next level but he was confident he would make it.

Calm down lads I know its hot at the moment but we need to keep our heads. For me Whickham shouldnt even be in the first team until after Christmas when he has settled in to the way we play and our formation. Sadly for him we dont have a formation at present its just anyone playing anywhere.

I personally think if we'd started with Wickham up on his own instead of Sessegnong then he would have put his neck on the ;line to score from one of those crosses which was put across the box. Nothing against Sessegnong but it happened in the Liverpool game as well as a few times against Newcastle - he didn't risk getting hurt to score a goal (Liverpool game from the Larsson free-kick where he turned his back instead of sticking his head in) I believe Wickham would be willing to do this as he's young, british and he's ****ing huge (I have stood next to the lad and he's even bigger in person)!! He also doesn't mind sticking his foot in.

Personally, I'd start him and Sessegnon up front on Saturday and Gyan on the bench (bring him on after an hour or so) with a 4-4-2 style (Not sure if Bruce has heard of th9is formation but think it could be useful)

With Larsson, Cattermole, Gardner and Colback in the midfield (colback on the left) or move Richardson up to Left wing and put Jack on the bench (my opinion - don't slate me for it)

    Team would be

    Westwood

    O'Shea - Brown - Ferdinand - Bardsley

    --------------- Cattermole----------------
    Larsson -------------------------- Colback

    -----------------Gardner-------------------

    --------- Sessegnon ---Wickham --------
