Gonna be a proper old fashioned cup tie...we better have the right attitude as they will want to make themselves Newport and Fa Cup legends. Bet their chairman wishes it was an away match for money reasons.
We've been given the Sat 15.00 ko slot. I was worried it would be scheduled on the Sunday. We play United on the Wednesday night.
It may well be the case that we have to play as many English players as possible. I doubt the likes of Foyth understand the nature of this beast.
Given how an old fashioned Argentine cup tie involves travelling to another country and the potential for having all manner of objects hurled at you from the stands, I think he's reasonably qualified already...
Nice easy trip. Ground less than 1/2 mile from station. Parking not easy for those driving. Spurs will get about 1,000 tickets.
Only pretty ones. Not many sheep around Newport. Farming in Monmouthshire is more dairy orientated. You then need someone to put you up to it. Or a step stool.
A few good Eritrean restaurants in Newport. The Passport Office is there so it is where the British government dump asylum seekers whilst they are waiting for their cases to be sorted. Many decide to stay.
Met up with a couple of old mates, Wimbledon fans who went to the game. Loved their 'day out' and full of praise for venue and general good nature of event. They were very proud of their own contingent who sang their hearts out. More relevantly to this forum, they were super-impressed with us and Harry K in particular. Both thought his play was from another planet! We appreciate our lads, but sometimes get a bit over-critical. It's good to hear from outside - even if a lower level - just how good this team is!
