You're completely missing the point that White was behind Ben Parker, two trialists and a centre half at the start of the season.
Pre season is about fitness more than anything, maybe he knew White was in a fit enough state to play? But wanted to watch Parker and co to get a better idea of them?
Well then you are also missing a point. Everyone thinks your an idiot and no one values your opinion. In other words no one gives a **** what you have to say
Maybe he genuinely thought Ben Parker was a better left back, since White is naturally a winger. If you have the players to play in their natural position you don't play another player out of position ahead of them. If he had, you'd complain that he was playing someone out of position. There's just no winning with you, which is why you'll die alone, Clive. I just hope one day you'll see and change your view to a more positive one. Maybe it was an "accident" to discover how good White is at LB, but he still had to take that risk. He could have gone with the "safe" option and put O'dea there again. But no, he took the risk, putting a relatively lightweight player who's natural position is on the wing at the left back, and it paid off greatly. He's a brilliant tackler, not as lightweight as he looks, and he's got pace to keep up with any winger, so he'll never get skinned.
I don't understand how it's possible to genuinely believe Grayson is completely clueless and just picks the team sheet out of a hat and hopes for the best. You don't succeed like he has without knowing what you're doing.
If Bates is good for one thing, it's manager loyalty. It takes some right cr*p performances for him to sack a manager. Other chairmen sack their managers for anything. I think its WAYYY to early to take about Sacking the man who got us promoted, then nearly in the play offs despite just been promoted. Discovered Max Gradel, David Somma, Adam Clayton, brought Howson and Lees into the first team ect ect
So is Grayson once again at any greater risk after 1 point from the last two matches and not being able to put the sword through a poor Ipswich team?
