Okay, so I guess we're looking at the DFR as I think the HB which Benetton ran afterwards was a completely new engine.
yeah, a DF not and HB. I'd actually forgotten about the early post-turbo era, so glad you bought it up, as this one is more modern, but a little harder than what i thought the answer should be (imo, but you own the golden anorak, so you could probably answer both versions of the same question)
So we're talking probably 1990 or 1991 by the time all the crap teams stopped using it and everyone got the HB hand-me-down when Benetton moved up a few specs.
lol, I think so, I had to do a lot of frantic wikipedia-ing after you mentioned the DFR, as the engine I had in mind was the DFY, which was more a DF engine than the DFR.
yep. forgot about all of them, lol, for the answer I had the question should've been, who scored the DF's last points before Ford switched to the GBA.
I think Tyrrell were still running the DFR in 1990, so I'm going to start the bid at Jean Alesi at some point late in that season.
ha, any I got right were mainly luck, and generally only after a huge dose of clues. nope, nope and nope.
yes, 91. It was also the last point for another major manufacturer, though not one that ever got close to scoring a point with it's own works team
would that be Lamborghini? Not that it helps much if it was. I may have to consult my library of Murray Walker Yearbooks for this one.
It wasn't Aguri Suzuki in Canada........I'm pretty sure about that. I have no idea how I remember all this stuff..............
