    Two absolute giants in the history of modern popular music (both sadly departed) were born on this day. You can take your pick as to who you think is the biggest icon.

    I'm going for David Bowie whose sheer imagination and creativety and brilliant Songwriting and one of the best performers ever to stand in front of a microphone make him number one. He also happens to be the artist that made me fall in love with music.

    He was born David Robert Jones in Brixton.

    I could post countless number of his songs, but they are so well known i'll only post a couple of personal faves...

    One from that album that made me fall in love with music...
