Poor end to the day, thought they had been fortunate earlier with uncharacteristic Australian fielding...

Will still head to Sydney for Day 3, never been to the SCG before.

Yet another depressing day for England....doubt they will have the willpower to bat 5 sessions to salvage a draw...

Not a lot you can say about today's play other than men and boys. Another innings thrashing on the cards...

So much for a spinners wicket as Ali & crane could only muster 3 wickets at a cost of about 360 runs, looks like another heavy defeat.

Not looking good for test cricket, if England concede over 600 every other match away from home.

Not that there's any joy trying to watch an Indian play and miss on a green wicket at Old Trafford on a cold May Day either.

Anyone know if sky has the limited overs games?

Any chance of excessive heat stopping play today?

    Root hospitalised with dehydration.

So now the Aussies only need 5 more wickets.

Lost the series 4-0. I know some on here like Stan and Strolls said that they thought there wasn't much between the two sides, well I have to say that I think there was a huge chasm between the two of them! England were completely out-played.

You are right we were completely outplayed, but I still don’t think, if both teams were at their best, there is much between them. The England team never fired as a unit. Having said that, and as we have discussed, we didn’t have the bowlers for the conditions or Smith, who is brilliant at the moment.

I wouldn’t bet against a similar result in England in the home teams favour next time round. As we have talked about, away series wins for anyone amongst the bigger Test teams are becoming very rare.

    Well done the Aussies though.
