Great news to start your week off http://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/spor...s-naismith-transfer-rumours-rangers-1-5346001 And it's not just me that has this opinion:- "Naismith has failed to deliver since a big-money move from Everton in January 2016"
I couldn't believe it when we were first linked to Naismith and was desperate for the move to fall through, total and utter waste of good money who was dining out on one good performance for Everton with that hattrick against Chesea. Good riddance to bad rubbish, he can reck off back to that pub league in Scotland
Does "playing for free" mean that Rangers will not have to pay him anything? I suspect that if it is the mooted loan move, he will still expect us to pay him. Or am I being too cynical?
I doubt that we'd let him go on that basis. It would involve 3 months, thus a quarter of his salary - £520k. A reasonable saving for us and game time for him. It would also show, however, that it isn't about grabbing every penny for him. He wants to play but the fine form of Pritchard and Maddison make that difficult at the moment.
Worst signing the club ever made, imo. You can argue that RvW cost as much and was as unproductive, but he scored plenty before joining us - and has scored plenty since leaving, so it's largely the manager's fault for not building a team around him to some extent. Naismith had chance after chance after chance (mainly at AP and JM's expense ) and still underperformed in every game bar his debut. Shocking waste of cash we didn't have and we're scraping around looking at bargain basement reinforcements now largely as a result of it.
Apparently Ebuehi was at the game Saturday. I didn't realise that he can play at either RB or LB, which would make it an even better signing. Apparently he'll be available on a free transfer in the summer, but wonder whether we might make a small offer now to be sure of getting him. http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/canaries-tyronne-ebuehi-transfer-rumours-1-5345547
As it would be an international transfer, with his contract ending on June 30th, we can sign him in this window for next season. At least, that's the way I understand it.
Blimey, this rumour's a bit 'left field!!' - http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/...sani-is-january-target-for-canaries-1-5346597
It may not be that odd. Given that he was at Palace originally and was about to sign for Sheffield Wednesday when he picked up a bad knee injury. He went to Dulwich to restart his career which he has done with a bang. At 22 he's at a good age and at a reasonable price worth a punt. Norwich previously signed Diallang Jaiyesimi from Dulwich in January 2016 and he's a player I really rate (on loan at Grimsby at the moment).
Bloody cheek - I hope Huddersfield get relegated - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/canaries-pritchard-huddersfield-offer-exclusive-1-5347306
