Northern Rock was being run by a bunch of crooks who transferred loads of the good assets to a seperate company for nominal fees .The second company had a bunch of senior NR executives as owners.
I'm convinced they would have faced fraud charges if the govt at the time hadn't been so worried about confidence in the banking system.

All this Couthino talk has created a vacuum whereby we've forgotten to make a matchday thread for the City game <yikes>

I hope our players aren't similarly distracted!!

I am. Brexit will probably have very little effect on what he does as the vendors he deals with are all based in Europe, it is really just the admin that is done from here. They may have to change some systems/methods slightly but that should be all. It will obviously be more of a hassle problem to him if free movement is stopped as he will have more delays at airports.

I am proud of all three of my kids. None have ever been in trouble with the Police and all 3 are very grounded and sensible.

yeah they might just cut it to longer trips if the airport becomes a hassle and visas needed

the very concept is stupid. I'm sure a 90 day visa system will be agreed at worst.

Just joined rest of world queue in frankfurt and take an age.

Or do you have and irish family? he could buy an irish passport and **** the system by having two passports for use <laugh>

No chance of an Irish passport we are 100% scouse for several generations. Think we may have some Scottish ancestry, but probably centuries ago.

ah well... if footballers can do it surely you can find something. I'm sure its totally unnecessary anyway as eventually it'll be fudged when the tories implode.

Less said about that the better, it was bad enough when my Mrs found an old school report of mine and showed it to them. They were all still at school at the time and were less than impressed with the teacher's comments in my report, especially my biology teacher who said

"Garlic (name changed for obvious reasons) has the handwriting to be a Doctor, but unfortunately not the intellect"

That was one of the better ones. I readily admit to my kids that I messed up big time at school, which was why I was still taking professional exams until I was 35 in order to get on. If I had gone to university I would have been finished with them in my mid twenties.

Scouse never existed pre-Irish the Irish arriving in Liverpool GC, before that the local lingo was Lancastrian maybe with a small smattering of Welsh, after a couple of generations of Irish settlers in the city of Liverpool the Scouse accent was replacing the Lancashire accent.
So the odds are you've got some Irish blood pumping through your veins mate.<laugh>

I once was on a forum (can't remember what it was about) where someone requested a solution to a particular tech problem. Someone else helpfully outlined the causes of said problem and got a right bollocking off a mod for being off-topic. <doh>

Thread protocol nerds would be gibbering wrecks after 5 minutes on here.

Coutinho's all over the BBC front page, he's even eclipsed their sponsored club, they hardly mentioned the lad when he played for us, but now the company policy is no longer in play they're free to lavish praise on him, manc barstewards.<laugh>

25 February Chelsea visit Old Trafford. “It will be the opportunity in the game against United when we go to Old Trafford,” Conte said. “Me and him face to face. I’m ready. I don’t know if he’s ready.”

    On TV? Pay per view?
