bang on, so much talent but all it is in controlling the ball and dribbling/holding players off. Either he's not working hard enough to improve his weaknesses (see coutinho and how he can shoot now) but he doesn't play the killer pass, play the ball with tempo, have a consistent shot or the breakneck speed to get away from someone who doesn't dive in One of the better players in the league but he's in that bracket below
so he would have missed the rest of January anyway!! That takes the pressure off with respect to everyone shouting that we need an immediate replacement!
Wasn't it the Beeb who had an article a few weeks back asking who was having the best season out of Hazard and Salah? Didn't seem much of a debate to me.
maybe, i didn't bother to read it. This is just my opinion on hazard who imo can still go up a level but he's too busy trying to skin people and doing flicks and tricks. If he moved the ball on quicker rather than trying to stand people up and then skinning them he'd be such a better player.
great hope he picks the right one. I'm not really sure its for permanent move but he needs to go. just hasn't a role here.
Neither did I. It's a common mistake for tricky players to faff about too much when they should be getting on with it.
I don't think he's got that footballing brain that the likes of Suarez and other top players have, he make the wrong decision too often and doesn't seem to be able to adjust to a game if it isn't going his way. Very good player but I wonder if he will ever be a great player.
What I said earlier. Seems to me that Klopp would rather have a squad focussed on working together rather than have a disruptive presence. If Coutinho was making noises about downing tools then what's the point in keeping him? I wouldn't be blowing smoke up his arse though after that sort of behaviour.
I can stomach losing Coutinho, as good as he is, because he IS inconsistent and even though he's our best player in his position, we still have a lot of cover. Losing Salah would hurt worse. Even if we got 300 mill.
yeah. I think in the summer they somehow decided he could be convinced to stay and stay long term so it took coutinho a lot of head bashing to show them he really didn't want to for me 20 apps 12 goals and 9 assists is stellar for anyone wanting to be off.
well... torres ****s off and then you find immediately suarez (even if he's a biter) and he's a guy who just run in behind and really wants goals plus has magic. then he leaves. and you are lucky enough to find another doing the same thing with twice the pace, the same strength and same magic skills... within 2 season? My god we are lucky..... finding a third may be difficult. But klopp found lewandowksi and then aubameyang... If you think about it... we've been really lucky to bring in quality players own leaves, takes 2/3 years but torres arrives. he goes suarez comes.. it takes a couple years but salah arrives the trick would be to do what atletico did and have the next one in BEFORE the next departure. not easy. I honestly can't see real buying salah until at least after world cup and only then if he stars in it and demand is huge. hopefully we can add the next salah type before we lose him this time. The trick is the natural sort of run made. I love guys seeking that run in behind. it makes everyones job behind easier as they know to get it and ping it not have to faff about trying to control it and best guys and look up and hope someone is free. very few guys make that in behind run so consistently these days. Loved suarez, Sturridge tried to do it before he decided he would be injured doing it and now salah does it. Mane doesn't, firmino doesnt.
yeah there had to be some sort of well we might just go with greizmann if your are not coming now. we are only back cos of the summer to be nice to you.
Their Prez kept saying things like they felt obliged to pursue Phil because he was so desperate to play for them - as though he was doing everyone else a favour. Thought that was funny.
