Watford have been a real curate's egg this season, and I can't quite work them out. Is Silva the real thing (yes, I think so) or is he an over-hyped, marketable young coach with no substance? Who knows. The whole Everton debacle certainly destabilised them, but you have to think they'll get things on track again at some point. Player for player we have an advantage. I just hope that we have one of those games where we're not rubbish, and they continue to be rubbish. A single goal for us in the 89th minute might be the way to go, so we don't have to sit and defend for too long....
We need to keep Richarlison quiet really. That's probably the key to the game, and hope our CBs and midfielders don't get bullied by what is a physically strong side (as we found out at St Mary's). Could be the game for Lemina to come into a three with PEH and Romeu. Richarlison is an odd name, isn't it? It's kind of like the parents disagreed on whether he should be called Richard or Charlie, and just came up with a compromise.
Whilst I agree with most of this (mainly the jury being out on Silva) I don't agree that player for player we have any advantage and would say we are very evenly matched, and them being at home could swing it their way.
Together with Tranmere 4 Saints 3, this is one of the all time low points of Saints in cup exits! Thanks for reminding us. (And which git put bloody Coldplay on the sound track?) I am bizarrely optimistic, I must stop sniffing Brasso. I'm going for a 4-2 win Saints (what?)
