    Good Morning Everyone

    We're out of the Cup!!!

    Anyone else pleased about this?

    One less distraction?

It doesn't take anything away from a woeful performance, but if we were to pick a game we we were going to embarrass ourselves, the third round of the FA Cup would be near the top.

It does mean that we can concentrate on the play offs.

For me, only Berardi gave a real shift.

Does anyone else believe that Christensen may be happy that his team put in such an inept performance?

It certainly shows Orta that beyond our starting line up, we have desperate problems!

Is spitting at a fellow professional acceptable?

Obviously, at this stage we don't know if it was done on purpose, but if it was, what does that tell you about the class of the player?

Seriously, I know Saiz is our best player, but if it is proved beyond reasonable doubt that the Spaniard spat at a fellow professional, do we really want someone like that at our club?

I note that not too many other Leeds players leapt to Saiz' defence!

Noel Whelan was seething after the game as he witnessed Leeds players laughing and joking just minutes after the final whistle.

"I saw a couple of players walking out there and smiling to one another and for me that's disgusting.

"If you want to smile then get on the coach but there shouldn't be any smiling going on after a result and performance like that. It's a joke.

"It angers me when I see people coming out with a smile on their face. Do it behind closed doors because I do not want to see that."

Not been as angry as that for years regarding a Leeds match.

    1. TC told us he was happy with his squad - nobody else is
    2. TC told us he was happy with his team selection - nobody else was
    3. Players strolled around the pitch instead of fighting (Except Berardi)
    4. One player comes out with credit
    5. Saiz being risked then we know what happened

Tommy was at fault yesterday for selecting a team that should have been 'at it but weren't. The quality of our second string is obviously not good so Tommy was either proving it to Orta and Radz and it cost us the match, or Tommy isn't as good as we thought. On Saiz spitting I have a feeling it was a set up from the last time we played them as Saiz was accused of spitting then and got away with it.

Unless he's done it twice before,it was Port Vale not Newport last time. Not bothered about the loss as long as we learn the lessons from it,with regards the squad.

Good morning from a sunny crisp Bardsey to Matt and co from a despondent poster
There must be repercussions from this showing as most of them should not have been wareing a Leeds shirt
AR should now seriously go out and buy a LB Le Bok seems to be the answer and a striker I like the look of Jack Marriot he led John Terry a real danceand to me he seems a natural striker and we all know there are not that many to be had so yes I would splash several millions on him. What have we got to lose whilst if he clicks we would be assured of at least a top 6 finish and his partner Madison would also be welcome
To Make way I would release BJ loan out Grot sell Klitch ans Sacko

Morning all, I love a good cup run, I’m old fashioned in that the FA Cup is still important to me. So many fringe players with lots of fans champing in their corner demanding they get a decent chance, they get that chance and that is how they perform.

When Tommy picks his next team and it excludes Lasogga, Sacko, CBJ, Klich, Cibicki and Anita at least any fan who watched yesterday’s debacle can’t possibly claim it is favouritism.

I don’t understand why more of the anger isn’t aimed at Orta, what a lovely job to have, sign 14 players, discover 80% are of no use and shoulder the blame on the coach.

Now... I believe Rad is an intelligent guy, he is sitting there with a lump of cash to strengthen the squad but.... Would YOU trust Orta to bring in anyone else?

For the record I’m not claiming Thomas has got it right all the way along, I’m not saying I believe he is the right man for the job... Just bewildered Orta isn’t receiving more flack

If Saiz is a spitter, he would've done it during other games too, however, if he did intentionally spit at a player then he deserves his punishment,
and no, I don't think he should leave Leeds.

A spitting action, intentionally or not takes about 1 second, if that, I find it hard to believe, and don't, that every Leeds player on pitch had their eyes on Saiz at that particular moment.

Saiz was very animated after presumably being told why he was being sent off, body language can tell us a lot, but that doesn't mean he did or didn't do it in this instance.

I remember when Belushi was accused of making a racist remark to a black Norwich player. I copped a lot of flack for standing by Belushi because I didn't believe
he called Jerome a negro. Even though I was copping flack from every angle, I stood by my views, eventually Bellushi was cleared of all charges.

I think, regarding Saiz, we should keep an open mind untill he faces the charges and is found either guilty or innocent. There seems to be a bit of controversy surrounding the accusation made, no one seems to have seen it, even the commentators. Highlights haven't covered it if it was caught on camera, and I'm sure if it was caught on camera they'd include it in the highlights.

After just reading some articles, they say the incident wasn't caught on camera, in favour of Saiz? maybe, maybe not.

What we're basically left with is, did the ref see Saiz spit at at Wilmott, cos Dean did talk to him, or did he react to an accusation from the player.

Most articles I've read are basically saying Saiz is guilty without trial, but they did same with Bellushi.

Vlogs containing the incident doesn't seem to have surfaced yet either.

All we can do is wait to find out.

    Regarding the FA Cup,

Every season we go out of cup comps, more so against much lower teams, we listen too, and read about how fans are disgusted with performance, the manager and players, then not long after we start reading "not bothered, we can now concentrate on the league" REALLY!!.how many times have we read and heard that, and how many more times are we going to hear it........look what happened to Monk last season after losing to Sutton.

Going out of cup comps does not guarantee we are going to romp up the table, or play brilliant football, in this instance, there were another 7 days before our next league game, so why a very weakened second 11?

The Sutton game backfired on Monk, and after 13 seasons out of the prem, we are still in the championship, so, those who believe we're going to play brilliant football and romp up the league may need to have second thoughts.

TC and Monk have something in common, amongst other things. They both had us playing ugly football, we were lucky during many games to win by a single goal, they both went out of cup comps by showing contempt for both cup comps, and playing very weakened teams, both imo, had problems in being able to pick a player, read a game, and couldn't come up with a plan B, both are stubborn and ignorant......Deja Vu??????? let's wait to find out.

The article below covers both allegations of spitting by Saiz, it does say the FA cleared Saiz of any accusations made by Brown.

    http://www.leeds-live.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/samuel-saiz-sending-off-spitting-14123990

This closest video I've found, basically shows what the camera showed at game. Does open it up for debate.

The video makes it interesting, the ref never saw the incident, but did talk to Wilmott who accused Saiz of spitting, going to be interesting how the FA deal with it me thinks.

You know when we win and if we say the team should all be canonised I would accept killing them slowly when we lose. Newport F'ing county isn't something I want to remember or effect the rest of our season - move on - Ipswich should be a walk in the park MOT

I hope you're right about Ipswich Eccers.

I replied to Ells comments and questions, if you don't want to be reminded about the game, why read it?.....please try to refrain from telling people to move on Eccers,
    it's an open forum..........cheers pal...:emoticon-0148-yes:

Ideguci arrives for his medical today and expected to sign a 4 year deal tomorrow. The big news here though is that it seems that in fact a work permit can be available for him to play for Leeds now, but still expected to go out on loan? I wonder if he will get a grip of our midfield now instead of next season.

All that does xbp is confirm the accusation, and what could result if found guilty, articles have been saying the same
since the alleged incident, and, it seems at this stage there is no video evidence.

What Phil Hay, and the FA should've said was alleged, as he hasn't faced the disciplinary committee yet, as far as I know.

We also know Leeds have a right of appeal.

Best I think if we all wait to see what happens.....:emoticon-0148-yes:

Previous articles only speculated the offence, the FA have now confirmed it.

Morning all. If you have a squad like the top teams in the premiership you can probably field two decent teams. If you want to win at our level it does not make sense to make nine changes. The Newport game was a chance for fringe players to show what they could do. They failed miserably.
