Just ****ing buy someone with the Coutinho money Klopp, it's not hard. Bet if he kept Woodburn he wouldn't get a game.
He's barely played any games for them, I'd be surprised if Klopp's plan A was to slot Woodburn into the Coutinho role or even if he was second or third choice for it. Especially with 150 mil burning a hole in your pocket. Think Klopp's being a fanny for some reason.
Finger crossed. He'll not score in the PL and their goals will remain baron across the team when he plays.
He's free to spend some of the Coutinho money to cover injuries and allow young players who aren't getting a game to go out on loan. If he plans to play Woodburn semi regularly then fair enough.
I'm sure they'll be looking to bag his replacement as soon as possible. It's not like they'll be slowing it to spite us. They're doing nowt wrong as far I can see. It's common practice.
I just don't see the point in big clubs clinging onto young players that realistically aren't going to get a game, just in case. They'd be better off loaning them out and covering any gaps in the squad with quality players. Like I say if he's going to play Woodburn then fair enough he's their player. I don't think they're doing it to spite us or anything but I do think they might be being overly conservative, dependent on their own needs of course.
Generally agree but in this case it's a few extra weeks to protect numbers after an out going. The lad should have been out on loan at the start of the season really cause he hasn't played much all season.
These 'journalists' are worse than most. I'd be surprised given that his 'record' in the top flight is slightly worse than Joselu.
