Nothing in this adds up at all - unless Firmino did actually racially abuse him and the ref (and Lallana) are utterly lying when they say they didn't hear it.

I do think the lad thinks he heard a racial word though as opposed to other theories put out there.

watch again. firmino's head moves towards holgate as he shouts puta.

holgate never flinches.

ref is between them and most importantly his open ear (note when he goes over to 4th official he takes out ear bud in other ear) is to firmino.

no ref reaction to puta.

2:55 firmino backing off lallana grabs him ref turns face on or mike ear is to him

firmino can be seen clearly moving his jaw.

Kenny is on right side CLOSER than holgate who is BEHIND ref.

jump forward to 3:12 to 3:16. I can clearly see firmino saying something in this angle and as Jenny's head is moving away holgate is grabbing ref and you see firmino's mouth but it's not a clear shape of a syllabel.

do not tell me there's nothing said after the put a sentance. it's absolutely undeniable there is.

 

And the next time Holgate completely loses it and then actually does injure someone badly he won't think twice about 'mishearing' a racial slur again.

 

Having re watched it, surely if the referee has not heard anything and is between the pair, then it must be thrown out
